I'm sure many others have noticed this besides myself, but when the game wants you to lose you will lose.  You will simply bounce shots that shouldn't bounce, crit shot with no damage, or just miss point blank shots at close range.

I believe the RNG is preset prior to the game and you will have either bad targeting or shots where you cannot miss.  They have gotten away from rigging MM due to a transition to skill based MM which is without doubt coming.  But, it won't matter.  They will simply increase the rigging of the RNG prior to game start so you cannot tell how good or bad your chances are with XVM.

During a recent loser bucket streak I bounced a shot on the side of a t67 from 100m twice in a row, followed by a crit shot on a T25 with a high caliber gun.  In the same game a T150 rolling over a rock from 200m shot and destroyed me.  ROLLING OVER A GIANT ROCK.

This game is no better than a slot machine.  Just pull the handle and hope for the best, no skill involved or needed.  25% RNG is way to high and negates all skill.

Also, the pops have dropped so low on the NA server that after a certain time in the early morning hours the game is not playable.  Never was like this before and some games will start with less than 15 player teams.

That's been happening for years. Nothing new.

The game is based on "random" numbers which will, coincidentally, not always be in your favor.

look in the mirror

if you cant possibly believe that you are bad, then it must be some other factor...

the purple players know that they can improve.

they look at every game after they are done, and ask themselves, "humm, how can that have been different, and how can i have been better"

the red players think "it must have been something else, cause i'm so good it hurts"

I mean this in a purely technical sense, not as an insult: Has it ever occurred to you that you are just bad?

The best players in the game take steps to mitigate RNG. I don't agree with a lot of the RNG elements in this game, but trying to decrease your chance of a bad dice roll is more helpful than making an unnecessary forum thread.

No problem with the "random" part, the problem is that it looks like it isn't randomized for every shot as it is supposed to be but rather game for game for all aspects

It would be fine if it was a bit less random. Like, 15% or atleast 20% instead of the stupid 25% RNG on both sides that we have.

shadora you are a bit slow. I think I realized after about 5000 matches that WOT is a scripted and manipulated game. That was 60000 matches ago.

The game is mostly fun despite the stupid crap that WG pulls.

Play the game as it is a have fun. Sometimes the fun is just working out how their dumb algorithms are going to screw you this time.

I had a chuckle to myself the other day that I thought I would share with you today, considering teh topic of RNG and the crit shots that would at other times do great damage. It occured to me while watching someone's replay.

We have a pretty expensive consumeable that instantly heals tracks, right?

Well, we also have one that does the opposite and auto-tracks: a 183 HESH shell.

:D

not this, war thunder, Russian bias is strong in Gaijin. Here, its balanced with some RNG like any normal game.

I have realized this a long time ago, but mostly through MM and not RNG.  I have noticed a change though since the latest patch and being that you have over 60k games, you would know if this is true or not more than I would.  But, I feel RNG has been altered in some way since 9.18 to be pre determined prior to the match and not random on each shot more consistently.  There is no reason a tier 6 TD with 180 pen should be bouncing a t67 on the side, twice in one game nonetheless, and remain unable to pen or just critical shot other tanks.  In the same game I was 35m away from a t25 and missed well aimed shot while waiting for the enemy to come around the rock.  The shot just missed completely.

In the next game I missed, critical shot, and bounced about eight shots while fully aimed.

The element of RNG in this game is way out of proportion and IMO is being used to manipulate games, and has become blatantly obvious.  When I play my arty (M53 with BIA, 4 skill), I can tell early in the game which way it is going to go due to missing fully aimed shots or bouncing off of heavy tanks.  If a tank on low health is in my sights I fire and something stupid happens like they disappear but never take damage, or they take almost no damage and remain alive with a sliver of health in these situations when the games are rigged against our team.

The other team, however, has the opposite effect.  They will hit and pen almost everything they fire which is another reason why I believe that RNG is preset prior to the game.  I had a T150 fire a shot rolling over a rock from 200m out and pen me in a game where I couldn't pen a damn thing in my medium.  He was literally up in the air rolling over a boulder.

The insane RNG is by far the most frustrating and rage inducing element of this game.

10% across the board would be MORE than sufficient.

ZERO RNG would be appropriate for a TANK GAME seeing that 300 yards is about max distance.

Get rid of the RNG and Auto-Aim and get "somewhat" real.

Every day that my gun trolls me is another day that my credit card stays in my wallet .. I won't  reward things that frustrate me .. They made a choice to have it this way and i made a choice to respond that way..

the streaky nature of RNG makes me believe it is rigged.

:hiding: I used to play AD&D (2nd edition) as teen... That meant using real multi-sided dice.  Some sessions you were rolling like a champ.  Other times, you just wanted to grab the dice and through them across the room.

Another words, random is random.  Yeah you may have times that it seems you are in RNG***us's favor.  Other times it looks like it's totally against you for the whole day (specifically for the X2 first battles).  But it's all still random.

If you still feel that it's out to get you, try changing servers or maybe just reconnect to the current server.

Of course, maybe your poor RNG is not so much RNG but player experience (or lack off).  That doesn't necessarily mean your personal experience but your team's and the enemy's.  Taking you out of the equation, it could just be that many players that know you tanks' weaknesses.  And those players are most likely the same ones that know how to play their tanks' strengths to the fullest.  In Quickybaby's new video on the new 30x30 maps, he like an almost full strength Maus (or E100) with a three to four shots from an autoloading light.  He was aiming for the ammo rack.
