Ever since 9.18 you have done nothing but made the light tank class utter garbage. We can't do anything without the damn Mediums and TD's out spotting the scouts. How about you actually set this to the right perimeters where the Mediums and TD's actually have to rely on scouts for a change and give the scout tanks the camo and spotting edge they are supposed to have.

I rely on scouts every game.....but they had to nerf the lights because lets say your t5 light before only saw 6-8 now you see 5-7 .. so you got nerfed to your new lvl.

ive seen light tank platoons just waste entire teams by working together

I'd say buff the tier 10 tanks view range's, as that's been a popular request, and would give them an expected edge over the tier 10 mediums for spotting.

improve their spotting and camo, significantly decrease their guns.  Make lights play their roll.

I feel like the scouts are pretty balanced at the moment, extra view range would be nice so you wouldn't have to have great crews to reach max view range but overall they seem good.

Also...

i don't want to be that guy, but i do...

Lights are fine.  Adapt.

Players sit, and sit, and sit, and sit, and sit, and sit, and sit, and sit, and sit, and sit enough already.

I bought the rhm tier 10 scout as my first 10 light and it FAR outperforms any medium at scouting, its not even a contest.  Within the first hour owning that light I completed LT15 for the obj260 with ease and have done so several times since owning it.  Stop looking at just the stats and go play the tanks, the camo on it is insane, if im not moving and in a full cover bush you have to get get into proxy range to light it, best ive seen was 58m away and not lit.  Also the spotting range feels better than anything ive ever used in this game by far.  The first match in it i had 2 batchats popping the ridge on fiery salient and i was well behind them and still got all the spotting damage before they did, so its far beyond any mediums in this game.  Oh and add the damage the gun can put out and also the power ratio that allows the tank to drive up some crazy spots and get into spotting areas incredibly fast.  I dont believe you have any real knowledge of scouting at all if you think lights are bad.  I think they are better since the patch and gratz to wargaming on making them a great tank for once!

you can still outspot mediums because you have higher *effective* viewrange after you take into account camo

I keep getting outspotted by TDs and meds too. And with full camo crew.

PZ1C isn't nearly as much fun now that it has to function as a main battle tank.  Unintended consequences.

I don't really play dedicated scouts, nor have I ever. I only play French Light Tanks which are a compromise between Tank Destroyers and Medium Tanks - and on the whole, I'd say they've been vastly improved by the last couple of patches. You weren't going to beat Medium Tanks in a passive spotting role anyway, so the view range nerfs aren't much of a concern, especially with the buffs they've received in other areas - such as improved matchmaking, engine performance and gun handling.

In theory they aren't much better off but in practice they just feel amazing to play. Probably the best state they've been in for several years. But I can understand why hardcore scouts might be upset; there is a certain appeal in playing the underdog and beating the odds through stealth and intel and that play style isn't really viable anymore.

Not sure why heavies having 400 meters of view range isn't a problem either as they can easily hit view range cap with coated optics.

Either camo ratings for LTs tier 8 and up need to go up so they aren't spotted by camping TDs and HTs or increase the base view range of LTs (or conversely nerf the base view range of everything BUT LTs), right now in the vast majority of matches LTs are the first tanks dead because they can't get anywhere without being seen.  You shouldn't have to have a five perk crew to be an effective scout in a LT.

The lights spotting is jacked up! It isn't the dam spotting it is getting the spotting damage. You literally have to be sitting, staring at them to get damage points. Or someone with a "better" view range is closer to the tank than you and gets the points. I get more spotting damage from my other tanks because the are up close to the target, not sitting in a bush . I really pisses me off to play 4--5 games and not get a dam point of spot damage.  One time I spotted 11 tanks got 0 damage hit points. Then they want you to get 40 k spotting in a week or give you a mission of 4k total hit points in a light  and SURVIVE the battle, its a friggin lite tank.

Reduce all medium, heavy and TD view ranges to 300

Give Light tanks 400 view range at tier 10 base if not a bit more.

Problem solved, just modify the nerfed viewrange vehicles slightly to compensate.

I have had several games where I haven't even spotted the enemy in my T49 and the enemy Lorraine 40ts have already started engaging me outside my own view range. No enemy light tanks in sight to help them. Yet I'm spotted through triple foliage cover and 3 crew have 100% concealment skill 4th has 40% on that skill. Plus I haven't even fired to give away position. Like to know how it was possible.
