When I was editing some xvm files and then tried to reopen WOT it just goes to shutting down and won't even open. I've downloaded and re downloaded it so many times it still has the same result. is there anyway to fix this or will my computer need to be "scrapped"? here is a pic I managed to take on playonmac

First off, you should probably uninstall any mods you might still have.

Try going into CMD and typing ipconfig /flushdns

I had that happening.  What I ended up doing is removing mods, uninstalling game, registry clean, and tried to download several times.  And it was still giving me that message.

Then it downloaded like everything was fine.  Mods installed, everything was fine.  I like to choose when to do Windows updates, and it seemed to happen after that.  I have another

piece of software that isn't running since that Windows update either.

Look for a post from dstud208 and download the Studly Utility - see the post signature for the link.

Install the Studly Utility

Shut down the WoT Mac Wrapper

Open the Studly Utility - click on [World of Tanks] click on [Troubleshooting] then click on [Fix "Shutting Down" Bug]

Next click on [General] click on [Disable Torrents] then click on [Force Update]

Launch the WoT Mac Wrapper - if the wrapper needs updating follow the instructions - the latest version of the wrapper is 2.0.3 - and let any client updates install.

When done - click on [PLAY]

Uninstall the game,  open the Run box and enter regedit press enter top of the screen drop down box open Search. type in  wot  hit enter on the left panel you will see the first wot key  DELETE it  press f3 it will find the next wot key delete it and continue until all wot keys are removed.  reboot your system and reload world of tank.

you have a messed up registry key for wot. it will not be removed by just uninstalling the game and it will not over wright it with a fresh install. you have to remove them all.

While I appreciate the post I cannot accept your thanks - all of the thanks go to dstud208 for creating his Studly Utility - all I did was make a list of steps to follow.
