Another expectedly laughable showing by an NA team. Rockstar said it well, and im shocked he did. You (na teams) do it every time. Every time you get to the GFs you throw as hard as you humanly can.

At least enjoy the experience.

To be fair Ding beat NaVi 5-2. So losing to Ding is not that bad

Na played really well and did better than ever. I'd say that this is great for NA and makes the game more interesting for all sides.

NA has a tiny skill pool to draw from compared to EU or RU, which creates a lack of teams able to really competitive with the top NA team. Elevate basically walked over everyone aside from eClipse during the WGLNA S2 round robins, where the top RU and EU teams had serious competition during their season (see: http://en.wgleague.net/standings/ ). While Elevate (and eClipse) no doubt practiced with other region's teams in prep for the finals, that doesn't compare to having to play real matches versus difficult competitors for years now.

Elevate has done better in this GF than any NA team before. The #1 EU team is far from an easy opponent, and I for one think we should congratulate Elevate (and all of the teams) for putting forward their best effort and giving us a good show to watch, rather than saying they're terrible for not getting first.

There's typically an open qualifier though, so feel free to make a team to compete in next season.

Here is the thing. It wasn't a good showing. They are capable of much more and have proven it in the past. yet when it comes to the GF, its always as if they enter expecting defeat.

to call this their best is actually insulting.....

So its insulting to say they came 3rd/4th place in the world?

Yes... because OP and his team did better than 3rd.  Or did they ?

Not really a laughable showing considering it was expected. I'm happy with the result NA had as a region this year. Obviously we are marginaly better than apac, and worse than EU/RU. I feel like that's an obvious fact to most people, so why are you acting like NA should be a top region contesting the best Russian teams?

Oh, it's you again. It seems to understand the game as well as a certain caster.

Fact of the matter is, EU has shown on multiple occasions it can beat RU. This was seen in the most recent 14v14 region clash.

Not only that, DiNG smashed NaVi. Anyone who even remotely follows WGL, knows that NA , as a region, is quite a ways away from RU.

The result was objectively foreseeable. The question was more of whether or not Elevate could push themselves to even greater heights by playing more concise then they have ever had or whether DiNG would throw.

In any case, Elevate played well overall. It just wasn't enough to compete against the top teams of EU/RU.

+1 to the gold players being classy/respectful (or at least as much as can be expected in this case) in the face of an ignorant, belligerent pubby.

I think we can agree the one NA commentator is who really embarrassed the NA region. Like capping when you are on defense....

Just an FYI Nehalim,

Elevate finished ahead of:

Navi

Kazna Kru

Oops

Team Efficiency

Yato

Brain Storm

EL Gaming

Eclipse

And were the first WGLNA Team to make it to the Semi’s of the grand finals.

Bag on them all you want, they have done better than any NA team before and set the bar.

I say THANKS to Elevate and hope they continue to improve.
