How about Concentrating on fixing the Contact list as well its been over 1 month now that it has been broken.... and yes we have been told they know about it

and are trying to come up with a so called solution ..... instead of a band-aid Fix so it works for some and not others .... That should be a top priority for your Dev's to be working on ..... not other crap that will break the game even more

In the massive s***storm around WG changing the "turret lock" key to be the same as the autoaim key, everyone's missing something crucial. Before 9.19, the "turret lock" function was forced to be on the right mouse button. There was no way to rebind it. Which meant that anyone who wanted to use their right mouse button for something else, like, you know, switching to sniper mode, like in every other shooting game, was out of luck.

All of the other games I play allow all of their mouse and keyboard functions to be rebound. It just makes more sense. Please don't simply revert to how it was before 9.19. Add an option in the settings menu to rebind the "turret lock" key. Personally, I like having it on the same button as auto-aim. Others will prefer different things. But for the love of heaven, let us choose our own turret lock button, don't force right-click down our throats!

From someone who spends too much money on this game and NEVER posts. The game is now broken to the point that I am even thinking of quiting. You made arty better and improved game play for the guys who show how good they are by pushing buttons quickly. Take arty out and stop adding speed. You are turning this game into a game of fast button pushers and not rewarding people that understand the strengths and weaknesses of their gun and armor. You will loose your older tankers that have $ too spend.

+1

Dear WoT:

It’s not the money but the principle…Please go back to 9.17, since I've completely lost passion of game play with 9.18 & 9.19 destruction of game, and have not played at all in last three weeks. You completely ruined game play with everything you've done, and so totally destroyed the fun of it all!

I would still like to play but this mess is not at all like 9.17, which was WoT at its best.

Might need a patch that detects any ILLEGAL mods, and immediately deletes that player's account.
Just saying.

Thanks for the communication.

I noticed people that were solid aiming in the past become not so due to this mix up.  If anything, it showed that auto-aim, aka Target Lock, is OP because of the gold spam and high pen guns.  It really negated armor and weak spots.  Please consider reducing or even removing target lock due to this reducing skill, strategy, and tank effectiveness both offensively and defensively.  The others talking about arty, that's another can of worms, but I agree about it being far too disruptive to gameplay.  It was horrible before with it's insta-gibs, and in addition to still doing massive damage on direct hits due to accuracy and reload speed changes, it now stuns and causes further issues.  And finally, harassment in games and in the garage is out of control.  Sure, you can disable things, but it ruins the friendly chatter and in game strategy.

I believe if you guys listen to your fanbase, people will come back to play again.

very good analysis. key word in your complaint is "old" and you are correct. This game has always favoured "SLOW" pace and deliberate tanks. And that is also the reason why they have brought forth game elements that will appeal to the young as well. But the slow and prodding parts of the game are still very relevant. Heavies and heavily armored TDs matter more with recent changes but lights and speed now have a place in the game as well. Adjust to the changes as you've always done.

Fix the contact list. Some of us have a game with the social element of it badly gimped. Platooning with anybody outside of my clan is nearly impossible. We've complained over and over again but see very little apparent interest on the part of WGing to fix it. We need more than platitudes at this point.

How about micropatch that doesn't break all the mods?

How about a MOD that does not break the game?

It is the responsibility of the MOD developer to make sure that their MODs work.

My contact list just started working one day, after leaving it open for a long while, it finally contacted the servers for its info and updated and has worked ever since.

because changing your mod folder from 9.19.1 to 9.19.2 is a difficult task for you. Or do you need a mod to help you with that's too.

Its not just one file. You have to rename the file to the appropriate name located in BOTH World_of_Tanks\mods and World_of_Tanks\res_mods from 0.9.19.0.1 to 0.9.19.0.2 after deleting the 0.9.19.0.2 file that contains just a text document saying something like "place mods here". Then you don't have to worry about cutting & pasting files.

The new file 0.9.19.0.2 appears in the aforementioned directories after patching world of tanks, which you have to delete before renaming the 0.9.19.0.1 file.
