Dang. The moment I move from Texas, Wargaming comes to Texas. Go figure. Anyways, the USS Lexington exhibit is a good place to visit.

Where we you last time we were at Lexington? http://forum.worldof...as-nov-22-2014/

I was in EL Paso, TX...12 hours away. Lol. However, I did make it to the Player Gathering at Camp Mabry in Austin, TX back in Oct 2011..or was it 2012?

4 hr drive for me, didn't think there would be any place to stay because of aftermath of Harvey. Will make the trip, stay a couple hrs and turn for home. This way I'll still get the goody bag (I hope) :-).....

called this morning and reserved a suite in Corpus, maybe I was just lucky. Hope the event is a GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :-)

Dear Wargamers,

We are sorry to have to inform you that we have had to postpone this month’s Let’s Battle Tour event, which was due to be held on Saturday, September 30th on the USS Lexington. With so many families and so much infrastructure impacted by the damaging floods from Hurricane Harvey, we are unable to execute the event as planned. We will be sharing news soon on how we can work together to help those families and individuals in need rebuild their lives.

We are currently working to schedule an alternative date and we promise to have a final update for you by Friday, September 15th.  From all of us here at Wargaming, we would like to apologize for the postponement, especially to those of you who have already made travel and accommodation plans. Unfortunately, these were circumstances which were beyond our control, but we intend to make our rescheduled event even greater so we hope that you can still join us then.

- Wargaming

I live in Minnesota, and may not be able to cancel my booking/ find another place to stay at. So if I am unable to make it to the event what will happen with my 4 tickets? Will there be any compensation?

The venue/ places around it could have been damaged yes, non of that is Wargamings stuff? And maybe you are confused by what i mean by compensation. Compensation could be anything such as in game stuff, to an event t-shirt or poster.

Oh, so you're one of those whiners always wanting free stuff. Sucks that it got moved, but I'd be talking to the airline, not Wargaming.

The mayor himself said on the news they do not want travelers to cancel vacations etc everything is running as normal and open for business. I cant cancel my reservations for my room so im out 320.00 kinda pissed off you waited this long to post this. should have been when the hurricane hit not this long after. and like i said they dont want people to cancel trips etc etc etc maybe you should check on things before doing this. even my motel which is walking distance said everything is fine on their end.

A whiner? I gave wargaming $80 for 4 tickets, yes it is a charity event but i should still get compensation in my mind, and where did this airline bs come from? I am actually driving down there jacka** Sorry that I am a college student and don't have $80 to just drop for nothing. Also the fact that people upvoted you for that stupid post lel

FYI - The Battleship Texas right here next to Houston is open and ready for Wargaming to come invade it.  I say we move the venue and get this party started right!

So who else is still going to see the Lexington on the 30th? I cannot get a refund on the hotel and the damage from the hurricane is not a concern for me. The hotel is good and the ship is open and ready for visits. Going to go down and just have a good day.  Lemonade from lemons as they say.

We will be offering compensation for this situation, details as to what exactly that entails is still being worked out.  We definitely appreciate the severity for anyone who already put money in or has inflexible travel plans, and we will be doing our best to take care of you guys.

I was actually going to be out of the country on September 30, I am excited that I may get back to the states in time to go to the rescheduled date. My son and I would love to be able to make it to the USS Lexington.

Already made my plans to go, can't refund them, guess I'll still go to the ship and enjoy the tour.

I'm looking forward to it, but I hope the reschedule doesn't fall on a weekend I am working. Oh well, I'm still happy that all I lost from Harvey was a storage shed.
