Boot Camp is separate and can be found in game. When you are in the garage and hit the ESC button, you should see an option for Boot Camp.

I have a question also, what happened to strongholds and why is it taking so long to fix the friends list?

Well, it's good to see the boot camp enabled. I'm glad to tell you that boot camp is somewhat better than the tutorial before, since it included more info.

The UI and the subgoals are clear enough, together with the hints. The difficulty is moderate, I bet it won't be very easy for the newcomers, and not too difficult to annoy them.

And about the bad things, I'm pretty sure the bots has no AI, their performance are pre-programmed, right? As a player in CN server since 2011, I'm sad to tell you that these bots are more stupid than the scripts, which widely exists in our server. Rather than tanks, these bots acts more like bunkers. Their position and action are fixed, and know nothing about co-operation.

Besides, I received several friendly fire from the bots. I'm sure there's a plug-in to prevent friendly fire, add it into the bots plz!

What reminds me about the boot camp is, perhaps you could make the training mode available for single player.

When I was still new to this game many years before, what scares me most was the Tier 5 Heavy. I once thought they are almost invincible for tier 4 tanks, because I have no idea about their weakness. If I could test their weak points in the training mode, that would be much better.

However, sad story is, training mode requires at least 2 players. For new players who have an empty friend list, it is almost inaccessible. Even if they entered the training mode, there's no promise that their friend will have the very tank they wanna test with.

So, here's my suggestion: make the training mode offline, and enable the players to select bots on all sides. Even though the bots are not performing well for now, they are perfect for testing. Besides, you may give the bots two modes: active and stand still(doing nothing at all).

For example, when I got a new T-28, I could enter the training mode and add a KV-1 bot(in stand still mode) on the opposite side. So I can test firing from all angles and learn how to deal with the heavy armor.

Or, if I got a T-34, which can withstand a few shots from KV-1, I can turn on the active mode and test the combat performance.

I hope this feedback will be helpful.

Boot camp is amazing:

good progression

good maps

good music

good way of teaching

some questions and junk coming out of the game mode:

1. Can the maps be added to tier 1 and 2 random or proving ground?

2. Can the maps be used for tournements?

3. Do the medals stay on the accounts

4. Does the consumables, gold, credits, crew and tanks stay on the account?(I don't think so)

5. Can we have a constest to name the bots (I think it would be cool to have Internet famous tankers from the community as part of the training as tribute to them

Went through the boot camp in Russian lol , being fairly new to WOT you have to learn by trial and error or watch video's. The boot camp teaches you the basics and has you on hands in battles. I give you a "A" , this will help new people just starting in the game. Keep it up. Maybe a advance boot camp maybe in order.

maybe a objective based challenge mode tying in the prodectablilty of s bot driven training with the mission already set in the game with the reward tanks?

even expanding on that you could have challages suited for each tank based on play style and even retinal differences modeled by the bots it could really be fun if the rewards was credits, equipment,xp, camo and emblems

I tried out boot camp on the test server, and I thought that it was a very good way to give new players the skills and knowledge that they will need to get through their first 50 to 100 games or so. However this game is so complex and nuanced that players are still considered "new" until they have played a few thousand games. It would be nice if Wargaming would have something to support and train players up to 2000 games or so. Maybe something like a special platoon that matches new players with more experienced players? Just an idea.

Can you enable old players to keep the things you earned in Boot Camp?

I went on to the boot camp the other night and found that it was a really good start to enjoying WOT. I actually gives the new player a chance to understand what is required to win the game rather that the old sytem that just showed how to drive a tank, shoot etc. It will be a much better introduction to the game.

Good Boot Camp for newbies.    A definite step in the right direction.
