I have a new laptop with Win 10, and when I downloaded the game, I was unable to run it due to a missing .dll file.  (d3dx9_43.dll)  Having been down this road before, I knew to go and download the directX 9.0 package from microsoft...

I was wondering why this is still a stumbling block?  I would think that Wargaming would be missing new players who go through an installation yet are not savvy enough or patient enough to hunt down this problem and fix it?  I would think that the proper .dll files would be freely available redistributable files that could be included as a part of the installation package.

I suspect a fair number of potential players have been lost due to this.

If you require a dll from DirectX 9, I would suspect something wrong with your graphic card/driver (not updated?).  DirectX 12 is the latest version.  There should be no reason for WOT to include files for DirectX.

Typical new computer headaches. Get a good driver search engine and upgrade all your drivers.

Most installers will include the DirectX files deemed necessary to run. WoT does itself. Last time I ran the installer IIRC it checked I had the right version.
