Everyone playing this game had to grind to it, why are you special?

Because new players come to this game with a false sense of entitlement.

Honestly, it should either be removed or simply come with even 50% crews as a default function of the tank.  It's probably the most powerful perk in the game for an experienced tanker due to its intel gathering ability, while also being one of the best teachers of the vision mechanics to less experienced players.

Who are you directing your response to? I earned mine if it was me. Again this is to encourage new player to come join and play the game. All you elitist will still be able to seal club new players regardless if they have sixth sense or not.

It's directed to everybody that expects the benefit of sixth sense without putting in any of the time or effort to earn it.  Are they going to give every commander that earned sixth sense a free perk/skill?  No.  I could get behind making it activate at 5 sec for 50%, 4 sec for 75% and 3 sec for 100% or something like that but not making it a freebie.

Now that is creative and contributing positively. I would add it but I don't want to change the poll now. Sometimes things have to change or adapt or die. It is very difficult for new players to compete with established players. As time goes on the gap between experienced players and new players is growing. Giving new players a leg up is nothing in the state of the game as it is. Being opposed to something that may help this game survive in the long run is good for the established players who don't want this game to die.

Again the gap between the skill of new players and established players is growing larger all the time. Is it any skin off your teeth to give them a fighting chance and help them learn spotting mechanics a little? You will still seal club these players. What are you afraid of change?

If they made Sixth Sense free, they would HAVE to refund all Commander xp and let you reassign, so yes you'd get a different perk.

I think the effect of Sixth Sense is so great that it shouldn't be something that new crews should be locked out of until you complete a first perk.

It's not about new player entitlement (been playing for 6 years here)  but not making the learning curve for new players SO steep would be good for retaining new players.

And it would benefit any existing player starting a new tank crew.

Just make it a skill rather than a perk so that it will at least be partially useful as new players grind it up to 100%.   Roll against the % to see if it goes off.

Some players to this day do not know what crew skills are.  That's a fact :)

As stated above WoWS did it, and the game is better for it.  Even is new players had 6th sense by default they still wouldn't know how to deal with it.  They'd still get shot, and complain.

At least in WoWS it gives you immediate feedback, and also tells you when you are no longer spotted.  I find it MUCH more helpful than 6th sense.  I'd vote for the WoWS version to be implemented in WoT.

WoWs and WoT are not at all the same though.  When tanks take 30 seconds to get up to speed, the maps are most flat, and shells take 5-6 seconds to reach their targets THEN we can make a fair comparison.  Ships moves at a different speed and knowing you're spotted is essential.  Tanks... not so much.

I don't think you just get an addition skill/perk on the end of your existing skills. I could see taking the amount of xp it took you to earn sixth sense and put it towards the skill/perk you are currently working on. Not just give you another skill/perk to stack on the end of all your other skills.

Well its a psychic gift that doesn't exist so why even have it at all...maybe add ESP skill...and the warp to a different location skill..perhaps even a Klingon clocking device...NVM we already have that on the Swed TDs and the E-25

Or here's a thought- that directive that gives sixth sense to those that don't have it and reduces the cooldown for those that do, simply sell that for a reasonable price in credits and everyone wins.

6th sense should be completely removed from the game.

Then light tanks and invisible td's will rule the game. No good.

Having this on ALL commanders automatically would be great. It is a very important skill and would greatly increase new player retention.

+1

And why does it matter if they didn't 'earn it'?

If they turned it into a game mechanic instead of a skill/perk you would clearly be refunded crew exp.

I really don't understand why everyone would be so against something that would clearly help retain new players as well as helping them learn vital game mechanics earlier on....

6th sense is mandatory and should be defaulted on all tanks, just reset the commander skill for free and allow the player to choose new perks with the change.

This should have been implemented a long time ago.

When I was a little tiny tier 1, I got clubbed a lot. I had no 6th sense, in fact I had to start out with a 50% crew. And there were seal clubbers galore. And once you got to tier 3 you had to fight tier 5 KVs which were essentially KV-2s. Now days you kids have it easy. 100% crews, a better MM, and no HEAT spamming M4s or KV-2s at tier 5. Grind out your skills like big boys.

Absolutely not, grind it like the thousands of previous players. If the new players are felling frustrated how about watching some of the instructional videos that are out there.Too many new players treat this like playing cod or modern warfare and go off on their own. It takes team work to get good and win.

this. I still remember the game when I got my first sixth sense. It happened right in the middle of a battle. Felt rewarding. And no I did not "suffer" playing without it. It is a reward that needs to be earned not given. If it is given for free it has no value.
