Maybe paying more than 20 dollars a month for servers would be an increase in quality for everyone. You guys can have fun with these terrible servers because this is unplayable.

Have you checked your route paths?

Our WG affiliates have checked, and it seems to be on WG's end.

I've been playing on the East server for four years, through a cable connection to the biggest ISP on the East coast. I've always had intermittent problems that sometimes make the game unplayable. When that happens I just log off. All I lose is a couple of days premium time and some battles I probably would lose anyway because my tank is sitting there spinning in circles or totally frozen in place. When my premium time runs out this year I'll be moving on from this old, stale game to try to find one that actually works.

I am having the same issues.

Ran a ping plotter, anyone know what this means?

Speed test for reference

the red bar is packet loss. Your ping is 30-50 normally, with spikes up to the mid 100's.

the top part of the ping plotter will tell you "where" this is happening.

Usually the last few hops before the log-in server address. Which will usually have a "core" in them somewhere.

I've been playing this game for about 6 years now. All the crap started when they made the change to arty. The game is completely unplayable for me now. I haven't purchased anything from wargaming in about 4 months and I won;t be making any more purchases until they fix their servers. In the meantime, WarThunder has no lag, contact list works and their ground forces works well with the airforce at the same time. So from this point forward I'll be investing my money into WarThunder.

if your ISP is COMCAST the reason you have issues is during updates wargaming uses Bit torrent files which is a universal file sharing utility that is used world wide for downloading movies and large files etc..

comcast detects this and the game goes onto a list of sites where comcast will throttle back /down your bandwidth to keep you from downloading 300 gigs a day ... the way to get around this is get a free proxy server so comcast doesnt know where you are connecting to ..

when I switched to proxy server all the issues with wargaming went away

as for this east and west swapping ?? your not supposed to use east or west only central ..east and west are emergency old servers in case central goes poof .. i used to get 115 ping west and 25-35 ping east now with central get about 30-60 ping .. and usually only get lag when driving near multiple tanks .. dont group up causes lag specially when someone next to you has a slow pc and poor internet.
