Hey tankers.  Regardless of cost (and if you've personally gone up these lines and enjoyed them) would you rather purchase the S1 or the T-34-3?  I know the T-34-3 has pref MM but I'm at tier 9 on both lines and love both the WZ-120 and the STRV-103.  On the Chinese Med line I will likely stay at tier 9 based on reviews.  What do you guys think?  Thank you.

STRV S1. t-34-3 is garbage when compared to the new premiums.

T-34-3 doesn't stand up well these days and the S1 is a beast even when playing against tier 10s - which you will in 80% of the games you play at tier 8.

both are bad

the Strv is limited to sniping only and sucks horribly in any other situation and the armor doesn't exist, you can't shoot on the move or anything you always have to be using siege mode and it's very hard to use in the meta

The T-34-3 is a good support tank but requires a lot of skill to use, it can be fun and is good at brawling and close engagements but the aim time is extremely long.

Personally I would not recommend either but if you are looking to buy these tanks buy them because you want a crew trainer otherwise there are better premiums to buy

No really when you carefully consider it's capabilities and how its played. It works well as a support tank and the turret is really decent. Add on pref MM so it doesn't get shafted into T10 matches and it's pretty decent. It's just not really much of a front line tank unless you're spotting for your team mates and is more of a support tank.

The Strv really only is good at pre-engagements and sniping, anything else is a death sentence.

Both are relatively poor choices. The STRV can make you pots of cash, but its only good for sniping. Current map setups do not favor sniping tanks AT ALL so unless you hit the map lottery, you're going to get wrecked.

The T34-3 is...Fun. And that is all I can say about it. Its one of the few medium tanks with a big fat cannon at that teir, and the pref MM means you dont see tier 10's. I own the tank, I like the tank, but I will be the first one to tell you its pretty bad. But sneaking around at 50KPH and dropping 400 damage bombs on people not paying attention is very satisfying.

Its standard pen is trash, The gold is heat, and only 250mm so gluck even penning the sides of some of these overbuffed superheavies. Very innacurate and slow firing.

Depends on what you're using them for, both are excellent crew trainers, if you want a crapton of credits go with the strv, if you want to have fun ****ing all over people with alpha go with the T-34-3. The T-34-3 is kinda rough to play with how bad the dispersion and the very slow rate of fire but if you like the 120 (idk how you like that thing) you should be fine. You'll appreciate the extra 2 degrees of gun depression. Strv is very situational, does wonders on open maps like redshire and prok but if you get like stalingrad or Kharkov then it's pretty much useless since you'll be bottom teir most of the time.

I notice you've played the T-34-2.  If you played it with the 122, the 34-3 is the same tank with better MM.  I'll let you form your own opinion there.  (I thought the 34-2 was a hoot with the 122, and actually preferred it over the 100mm.  I can't actually say i was particularly effective with it though.)

As for the STRV, I ALSO notice you've played the UDES.  The STRV is again, very similar to that tank. It's probably a little bit better of a moneymaker in today's armor based meta, but if you aren't enjoying the UDES, the STRV will make you just as frustrated.

Bottom line, you already have the two closest analogs in the game to the tanks you're looking to purchase.  Which of the two that you have do you enjoy / enjoyed more?

T-34-3 is fun albeit the gun is crap nowadays, you will need to spam a lot of gold. Also it has pref mm meaning you will likely face 3 to 5 tier 9 tanks in almost all of your matches. Strv is interesting but you will be more or less completely [edited] on city maps. Both of the end tiers for their respective lines are good however. If you absolutely need to make credits I would say strv, it's one of the top rated credit earners right now. For more consistent performance I would vote t-34-3

Yeah if that's your pick I'd go STRV S1.  Makes a ton of credits because the standard round has high pen.  That T-34-3...wow hitting anything let alone penning it can be a chore.  And the reload...woof...holy crap the reload is bad.  Can be fun at times...can also be super frustrating.  SRTV S1 holds up just fine against 10s...especially since you're camo sniping with it.

I got my eye on the STRV S1.

If you like being the sniper and accept the fact you will be playing the role of support then grab the TD. It is the less flexible of the two and practically useless up close and extremely vulnerable inside city maps.

The T34-3 is too slow for my taste and the pen sucks.

The S1 is an interesting tank to play and quite the challenge but i have a lot of fun with it.

I actually just got the Strv yesterday and have been having a blast in it. The playstyle isn't for everyone though and you really are limited to playing mostly defensive positions so if that's not your thing I'd go with the other choice.

Well, I cannot stand the Swedish TD line.  I'm only playing it to research the 10, just to say I've done it.  I have no interesting in buying or playing it.  I'm bad, but I can't imagine queuing up these tanks for fun when there are so many other options.
