I've seen a lot of other people posting with the same issue, so I figure I'll throw mine in with the lot, I have been experiencing this issue primarily since around 9.19, however I don't think its tied to the patch at all. Never had packet loss issues before. ISP is fine, local router is fine - I've checked. Its not mods, its not my personal hardware issues, and no other games have problems. Running pingplotter there's 14 hops, 7 of them are comcast 7 of them are either "Tata networks" or "G-Core labs", the latter with WG's name attached, upwards of 42% packet loss on those routers at times.

Game is unplayable during these times, and the occurrences are completely random as far as I can tell, so I can't even just adjust my play times around them.

Don't know the exact numbers, all I know is the East Server is terrible the last couple of weeks.

But here's some numbers for WG.

If they don't fix the problems  soon, I won't be renewing my subs for the year, $120 ish, plus all the other stuff I buy throughout the year.

Oh they won't miss me sure, but a couple or thousand people not renewing will add up pretty quickly, and a lot of people seem to be having a lot of problems lately.

WG, please fix the problems with the East server.

I only managed to put up with it for 2 games last night it was bloody horrible trying to play the east server so I just gave up, it has been terrible for a few weeks now and I,am certainly playing a lot less than I ever did, at this stage having been a customer with an open wallet since BETA my wallet is now closed until they either sort this problem or better still open up server transfers or roaming

The lag is so bad that I've just given up trying to play anything competitive right now. It's just not fun to play with this kind of server lag.

According to WG it's your ISP.  Their servers are working as intended, regardless of the proof you provide to the contrary.

Trying to play on the East reminds me of how the Space Invaders moved across the screens on the arcade games of the 70s/80s.

It's amusing how WG will tell us it's our ISP at fault... the East server will be a bag of bolts but there are no problems when you switch to the West. Surely if the ISP was at fault both servers would be unplayable....

I didn't post my ping plotter for the East server because it was experiencing 100% packet loss. I can't even use the East server without it feeling like I'm playing at 4fps - but only some times! Other times its smoother than the more consistently glitchy west server, albeit with worse ping. I am playing from San Jose, so it would seem most of that Tata hardware is within very short range of me. My normal ping is about 17-23 to west and 60-62 east

I managed to still participate in some ranked games, huge fan of those, and really really want to see this issue fixed before they come back, competitive play in tier 10s is muuuuuuuch more twitchy and response time based, which is notably more difficult when your tank is jerking all over the place, and you finally line up a shot, and the enemy tank is jerking all over the place, all while trying to avid shooting the ally who is jerking back and forth in front of you.

I agreed with CL Commando and other players statements.  I had never have any problem with East and West server before until last week on one day when a huge spike in Ping ms during the battle, it knock out my game connection and cause my contact not to work at all.  Right Now I started to play in West server and cannot go to East server because of higher Ping ms.  I believed that somewhere in the hops that closer to wargaming server is really messed up.  My Contact list on both server is not working at all for me. :(

SO is there ever going to be a response from WG, I too have been experiencing ping spikes from hell. And I do constant speed tests from servers all over North America and it always comes back with negligible packet losses with download speeds of 50 to 180MBPS depending on the server. The problem is 1000% of WG's end, so how about it WG, any comment??

Unplayable in the evenings after 8pm est. Lags, rubber banding, teleporting.

Did multiple speedtests and all are fine.

Was just auto loaded to the East server, ping rates from 70 to 150, gave up 1st game . West server is fine.

I'm on the east coast and wasn't having any problems until last night when I logged on around 12 AM EST. Played a couple of games and they were playing like a slide-show sporadically at times, despite having a low ping between 20-40 ms. Whatever the problem is, its something either with their server or an issue on their host's domain.

That's how packet loss will show up, I haven't looked on EU forums, but East and West US servers are definitely experiencing it. I'm so far on the west coast, ping wise it will always be better for me to use USW, however with packet loss the continuous ping will look normal the whole time, only rarely if it's really really bad will it show up as a higher number. Packet loss errors will cause those "microlag" or "stutter" events where everything is *mostly* fine, only  your turret will suddenly glitch, or you'll rubberband a little bit, or there will be a momentary feeling  of the tank not responding to input. Again, these will be very minor unless the packet loss is extremely high, though extremely disconcerting, especially for any sort of play involving twitchy movements, like light tanks and ridge peeking.

Took a few days off, came back, played a couple games that were fine, had high hopes. Nope.

Ping/packet loss image

This is enough to make light tanks unplayable, probably anything maneuverable, and this didn't even record the biggest spikes.

Just letting you know that you're getting packet loss even before you reach our redirects, possibly from your ISP's upstream. If this is consistent, you can try contacting your ISP to reroute. The server IP you chose to ping is incorrect, it's : login-p1.worldoftanks.com
