About 30,000 people from various clan communities decided to boycott the new season on the Global Map. They created a movement CONTRAS, which includes top clans and alliances of the RU server. Members of the organization have already put forward demands to the company: they want to meet with the leadership of Wargaming and discuss with them the perspectives for the development of the clan mode in the game. The application was already responded by Vyacheslav Makarov, the new head of the Wargaming office in Minsk. He asked to mail him with any suggestions, ideas and thoughts of players on how to improve the situation in all gaming segments of clan activity. Makarov also offered to meet with representatives of CONTRAS personally. The meeting will be held at the end of July in the Wargaming’s office in Minsk.

I think we need to do a similar thing here... Of course, that would mean 15-20 players would boycott, but still.

Then again, we don't have Clan Wars any more, so...?

This could be an opportunity to make clan wars amazing again.

WG just needs to accept the fact that CW gold payouts drive clan participation in the game. Ending that was the biggest mistake they ever made.

Not 30k players, but 300+ clans. As I know, tomorrow will be published "Contras" video in English for EU and NA community.

What does it say about competitive modes if these payouts are needed to get some participation.

Interesting to watch this develop. Meeting people is one thing, will they take any thoughts onboard though and try to work with the player base? After all as the old saying goes.... "Talk is cheap"

I personally don't give a crap about clan wars but, I would be willing to pitch in and support a boycott, if it included fixing all the real known problems this game has.  But, of course I would happily support your desires for a much better clan war mode as it will ultimately make the whole game better, at least I would hope.  Keep us posted, I'm in if it kicks off.

That people like to compete more when the stakes are higher.

No battles in Global map until WG started really work. Contras want take all provinces, when new season started, and not fight.

Meeting with Makarov planned after 20 July, as I know.

That people are competing for the wrong reasons.

There are no "stakes" as the players are not putting anything in the pot. There are "rewards" for playing, however the reward should be competition and proving you're the best.

If i have to reward people just to get participation then they aren't doing it for the right reasons. It's like paying friends to show at at your party.

The concern should be about the "Entire Game Period."  Everything in General.  Not just clan wars.  A whole list of things.

And this idea has been thought of numerous times, an even suggested on this very forum in the past countless times an people have been shot to pieces over even mentioning it on this forum.

But, it does highlight how they have more, "clout" as usual than us once again than any of the other servers.  We probably would have been face palmed most likely, or ignored in all likely hood.

I am all for creating some sort of stance until multiple changes are made.

After all, they recently posted an article about how "We will not stop until the playerbase is satisfied".

THE RU SERVER

Holy [edited]. WG must've screwed up very bad for this to happen. If the Russkies are pissed, [edited] is hitting the fan in the eyes of their biggest server cluster.

We need to do the same! Mobilize! Unite! Roll out tankers!

RISE!

... This is strangely fitting.

Stop trashing the game and provider.   Go play something else if you're so upset.
