More news from the Supertest front!

This time we plan to test the updates of the alternative branch of British TDs: to the Super test go the vehicles of Tiers VII, IX and X - Challenger, Conway and FV4005 Stage II. The vehicles will be updated in order to make them more comfortable in battle: they’ll get increased firepower and survival rate due to improved mobility and depression angles of the guns.

  • Challenger will get a new gun with higher alpha-damage, due to which the gameplay will become more conventional for British TD – firing from positions with less maneuvers;
  • Conway will also get a new gun and more opportunities for causing damage due to increasing of elevation angles to -10 degrees and increasing of the turret rotation angles. In addition, the speed will be increased.
  • FV4005 Stage II – the updates of the vehicle will coincide with the previous vehicles: increasing of turret rotation angles and elevation angles, as well as increasing of the mobility. The updates are intended to improve the effectiveness of 4005 in battles.

This is the first stage of testing so these variables are all, as always, subject to change before they see the live server.

We also have news on American Lights:

We are looking at dividing the tree into two branches.  One of the branches will lead to LT-10 Sheridan and will contain the vehicles without autoloaders. We will slide the T71 over to combined line (ending in the T57) and add a new vehicle to replace it in the Sheridan line, the T71E2.

I sincerely hope the T71 isn't going to be ruined. Given what has happened to the stuart, the chaffee (twice), and the bulldog, I'm not optimistic.

No. Get out of here with those British TD changes. Those are terrible and will be bad for balance.

Subject to change. Sigh...

I welcome Challenger changes. That TD is horrible enough.

or just remove the t71 and give the t20 an option at an auto loader since there is a tier 7 on that line already

I realize they are subject to changes, but the only way to get them to change is to tell WG how bad their decisions are...

I sincerely hope the T71 loses its' APCR standard shell.

Also I would like to see the AT-7 and AT-8 get a mobility buff like the T95 did.

I'm glad we'll have more US LTs but that would be nice if WG would fix the ones we already have in-game too. The M41 Walker Bulldog deserves to have a decent autoloader again, and the Sheridan and most tier X LTs deserve a buff.

Also, what about the T92 Light Tank? Will it be part of the tech tree or yet another tier VIII US premium tank? I mean I'd love to have a premium LT to train my US LT crews but it's not like we didn't have dozens of tier VIII premium tanks introduced for this nation in the last year.

The Challenger doesn't need any changes... It already has the best aiming time and accuracy at Tier 7, with 10 degrees of gun depression and one of the highest DPM's at Tier 7... On a very mobile platform too?

The current Challenger is extremely competitive. When they buffed it a few patches back, it became a legitimately amazing vehicle. I love farming even Tier 9 tanks in it. Just a couple days ago I did 5,000 damage against Tier 9's.

Its good for the changes to the 4005. The way its right now the con's of how large and weak the turret is out weigh the gains over the FV 183.

An equivalent to the 14cm Japanese gun on the Conway? Interesting.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE AWAY AUTOLOADER FROM BULLDOG PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Block Quote

A new proposal of a refreshed USA LT branch has hit the supertest. The T71 will be moved to form a separate autoloader branch, while the branch leading to the prototype Sheridan will get the T71E1 (aka T71 CMCD) instead.

The Bulldog will lose the 76 mm Gun T91E5 cannon.

WG already ruined it by reducing it's it's VR, DPM, and pen. WG butchered most of the lights and took a lot of the fun right out of them. (Big middle finger to the Devs.....)

They already took it away, it is completely useless now it might as well not exist.

They have to take theautoloaders away from the US lights so the CoD players they're trying to attract don't get confused.  Soon they'll 'improve' the 152mm derp-carriers so they play like their same tier foreign counterparts.

The homogenization of lights cannot be denied.
