If you had to pick any WOT tank, whatever tier, to win, and survive, what would it be?

So this could be ANY tier, so pick your poison.

And let's say it is for an unorganized pub match, so you can't depend on a coordinated effort to carry the day.  This is sort of worst case scenario.

You pick something, any tier, for effectiveness for your ability and play style, and something that You will most likely still be alive in at the end of the match.

So briefly, what tank and why?

For me, if I was going tier 10, I would probably pick an E-50m.  It has an accurate gun, good mobility, good armor for a medium tank.

My back up would be a Lowe. It has a little more health and a good gun.

Really can't pick a tank anymore.

Because the lost space cadets at wargaming fumble around on everything and anything on the vehicles.

The insane sealclubbing power of the T67 thrives in those sorts of conditions.

To win and survive a pub match? KV-220-2 or Pz II J no contest. No tanks come close in terms of survivability, especially the 2J

A mobile arty with decent close range targeting ... by class, it should survive the longest on average when the team loses ... and if its side wins ... well. :D

For tier 10 I'd have to say the E 100. In the right hands with proper angling (and probably with a generous dose of HEAT to combat overbuffed superheavies), the high HP pool, huge gun, good armour and decent mobility probably gives this tank one of the highest carry potentials in any situation.

Survival only, a T95. Just wedge myself between some rocks and let them come.

Actually winning? Probably a B2 or II J.

The E-25 because it has an invisibility cloak.

Matilda because in tier it's a pretty OP tank if played well

See it depends, is Gold Ammo a thing, or not?

If it is, Type 64 because speed and camo...

If it isn't, then T-150 because if it's a top tier game that thing can weather just about anything...

I would say, as a rule, no gold ammo.

Why pick tier ten? You set the hypothetical. Go mad, be free.

I guess I picked tier 10 E-50M mainly because to me, it feels like it is a good balance and accurate.  Gold ammo skews things a bit because it is a precious commodity game mechanic design to overcome strong armor. So it sort of takes the survivability Factor into a new realm if you can be pinned through even some of your best armor. But it is a good point that perhaps you want to pick a more competitive tank in a lower-tier. I would say I am probably most effective in a Lowe overall probably because I've had that tank pretty much since I started playing. I feel like that tank flexes up and flexes down pretty well.

If we only have to play 1 game.... absolutely the right answer.  My coworker and I got the Japanese HT no. VI in just a few days by playing the Valentine II a lot, and it put out almost as many ace tankers as it did "valedictorian" winning games.  I only run premium ammo, have a 3 skill crew, and have a WN8 of 2350 (by far my highest).  But, if this was a tank I had to play over a long period of time I don't think I could do it.  I'd probably have to go with the AMX 13 57G since it's a solid scout and amazing harasser and needler.  I don't know why, but I can come closer to carrying in that thing than most of my tanks.

I'd pick the Obj. 252 because OP armor that laughs at Tier 10s and mega alpha to make any tank think twice about pushing.
