Please go to the EKS BOKZ forum if you want good EKS BOKZ advice... we don't have 5 man platoons or a lot of other bad stuff that is found in EKS BOKZ.

Actually, I wish we could set up 5 man platoons here. :(

I though it was the same game... I mean, I've been watching my girlfriend step-father play World of Tanks on his laptop and overall it pretty much looked the same; What is so different? I'm curious.

I'm sorry but all I see is that you are having trouble with the game not being n00b friendly and not easy mode, welcome to wot, a competitive game.

first thing you got to do is change your attitude, second thing to do is grow some balls and take a breath and dive in to it, see tutorials, look on the forum and learn a bit about the game, experiment and so on, it's the only way to get better unless you are one of the 00,01% naturals.

if that's to hard for you then wot is not for you.

Plenty of competitive games are noob friendly....games that are accepted by the competitive gaming community. Whereas WoT is a unbalanced mess of ENG.

Be constructive and helpful on the forums without being a jerk. Maybe a step down off your high horse as well.

If that's too hard for you maybe the forums aren't for you.

Lol take it out of Your butt man.

you are awfully fast with the high horse BS,just to let you know I'm a newb also with under 5k games and I have to work and study and practice, listen and learn to get better also, it takes a lot of effort for me as this is my first fps game and I'm not a natural born gamer, so it irritates me if another player just wants easy mode and do nothing for it to get better except complaining here about how hard it is.

and your post isn't very constructive either.

Difference between baseball and softball?  Maybe?

My son tried out the XBox version a couple years back when it launched, and I was coaching him on what to do.  I recall being less than impressed with it, kind of like when you play a PC game that was obviously ported and they missed some details.  You know it doesn't feel right, but you can't quite put your finger on just what it is that doesn't fit.

The Game is hard but also very rewarding, Its a thinking mans game with less emphasis on skill and more on learning the maps and formulating basic strategies on the fly.

Maybe the OP is Funny Man Troll...

Or does the XBox version really give you a chance at '6th Sense', 5 man platoons, and maps large enough for spotting mechanics at Tier II?

Icarusael, if you are not a Funny Man Troll but somehow accomplished the above in the PC version of World of Tanks than we have to talk.  I might be able (MIGHT - See my crappy stats) to help you shoot, chose targets, and flow with the battle if you can help me with skills and perks and five man platoons!!!  I mean, most of my commanders now have '6th Sense' but if all five of you got it by Tier II (with no games on your account) maybe you could help me out with 'Brothers in Arms'.

By the way, you are 100% correct as far as this games tutorials.  Learning the W/A/S/D keys and the left mouse button is good to go for Tiers I/II, but doesn't help much by Tier III.

Tier system is a joke, at tier 3 all I played against was tier 5 then when I hit tier 5 all I play is tier 7 what point do Iget to play lower tier tanks? Wouldnt mind if I played the same tier but constantly going up against peoplethat are 2 tiers higher makes the game not fun. Guess thats how they get you toospend money constantly match you against people 2 tiers higher than you forcing you to pay to stand a chance.

They want it to be hard so you invest/buy more stuff......it’s really about the eternal pursuit of iron.  If you buy a better shell the opposition suddenly gets better etc etc etc......it’s a miniature arms race!

I’m not putting another penny into the game!!!

There must be tons of similar post with people complaining about how the game is hard, but seriously... what the hell? xD I almost maxed (elite) all the Rank II tanks and I still don't know which one is good, which one I like, which one I want to play with, which country should I go for, etc.

The problem often come from hitting a target. We play in a platoon of 5 friend and none of us understand how is this working. I mean, I can be side to side with an enemy tank and spam my attack and the tank takes no damage, even if the aiming circle is red. I keep getting medals for hitting the target, critical strike, etc. but no damage is ever done. Some people play with the same Light Tank as I do and go around no trouble destroying Heaving Tank and 2 Medium Tank on their own, on their way to our base. This is getting very frustrating.

Another problem is getting spotted. Sometimes I am not even spotted and man they keep shooting at me like if I was, I try to run away, hide but they keep shooting even if I wasn't spotted for at least 30 second running away, they kept shooting me and destroyed me. I think the spotting system is a total failure in this game. For normal tanks, there should have been no ''invisible'' tank and no automatic spotting. You see something, you press the key to spot them and voilà. Would have been way more legit. The tanks could only be invisible to mortar's eagle eye vision, until someone spot a tank for real. People can just travel around looking at the grass and they spot everyone. It is very annoying and doesn't make the game fun that way.

So aside of that, how the hell can you become good at the game? It is either too hard (Whole team get wiped very fast) or either too easy (We wipe the whole enemy team in a few minutes). It is rarely equal and those are the best game, until you end up 1 vs 1 and can't do any damage.

I registered game clip on Xbox One as proof of how I can't get any closer of a tank because I am actually touching it, and shooting in its [edited], doing no damage.

I like the game, but I don't understand some of the feature... they don't make any sense and reduce the fun we could get, especially as a beginner. Another example of a bad decision which make this game unbalanced: Why not just making Rank 1 Tank play with Rank 1 Tank, Rank 2 Tank only with Rank 2 Tank, Rank 3 Tank only with Rank 3? etc. What is the point of mixing them together? It just give the advantage to the highest Rank... what is supposed to be fun in that? How is this fair?

Thank you.

1. Google tutorials and watch youtube films aimed at noobs - dont underestimate the learning curve and take the learning step by step. Noone becomes an overnight unicum in WOT, it takes a lot of work

2. Dont platoon when a noob - instead of learning the game, you make your platoon mates your crutch for your own inabilities.

3. Focus your improvement and gauge your development using statistical tools

- hit rate and pen rate gives you stats how how well you hit target and pen targets

- average damage indicates how well you play the tank - your damage output should be about the same as the hp on your tank

- survival rate is a good gauge how your situational awareness works - should be around 30%

Spotting is really something to pick up when you have learned how to use the different tank types, where to go on the map, where are the weak points of different tank. Spotting is something you start needing to understand at tier 6 and up.

"Remembering" that the KV-2 has a 20-second reload can get you an early trip back to the garage, too.
