This vehicle was actually produced and used. A 380 mm Raketen-Werfer 61 L/5.4, with 14 rounds. You wanna see heavy and mediums in town SCREAM help ? LOL IMHO even the Japanese land ships would RUN for cover.

If I recall correctly, the shells used by this monstrosity were too large and heavy to propel strictly through conventional gunpowder means. So the Germans made it partially rocket propelled.

To my understanding it used a small charge to propell the round up as the rocket fired off and the holes bored around the barrel are vents to well...vent the exhaust from the rocket firing. Supposedly the ammunition was pure hell on the gun and despite the short length it took a while to clean especially with those ventholes.

Needed a small crane to load it too. Also had to be really close to the target if you wanted the shells to actually hit anything.

Most of em actually had a crane hoist mounted on top of them as shown in some old photographs and yes thats the actual size of the shell this thing used.

What a completely practical tank and wise use of resources.

Not really lol, the tank was just another ridiculous thing built because Hitler was a tank nut who had a hardon for ridiculous tank projects. Really they should have just built them as Jpanthers which were very successful tanks despite the limited production numbers.

The more derps the more this game turns to [edited]. They need to be removed from the game.

Seems like every month, forever, someone discovers these monsters and think they're the first ever to suggest they be added to the game. Been brought up 1001 times. Beating a dead horse.

They might have been useful if fielded in 1939/40 to crush allies defenses. Not so much when Germany was on the defensive.

The same answer (sadly) as always: they won't be added to the game, because they're impossible to balance sensibly, without fundamentally changing the character of the thing.

I think the best we can hope for is Brummbar: https://en.wikipedia...g/wiki/Brummbär
