This month many tanks, including old classics, will be on sale: https://worldoftanks...-2017-overview/

What tank would...

  1. be the most fun to play?
  2. make the most credits?

Depends on play style. Lowe is one if the better credit farmers in that list though.

I'd say the T34. It's one of the highest credit makers if not the highest - you don't need to shoot gold at all even in t10 games. This tank has suffered from powercreep but not nearly as much as something like the IS-6. Most think the turret is the highlight of the tank because the hull armor is trash but no actually it's the tracks. The turret can be penned by some tier 10s but those tracks will just eat them up. Just remember to sidescrape if you buy one and you'll have fun. Just hide the trash hull armor.

But the T34 has the sorriest gun handling and DPM.

I wouldn't recommend the IS-6 to anybody anymore, it has long seen better days than currently...

The Thunderbolt is a fun tank.  BIA crew makes it's a good deal.

I'd say you are spot on.  T34 is not some elite charger or ultra brawler, but pick your spots and it can contribute solidly in most any battle.

The first part of your decisions should be based on what lines you are going up.

If you are running all the choices, consider the Thunderbolt with the BIA crew.  It's good enough that it's not gimped in a tier 8 battle.

I myself had been leaning toward the Lowe and the Lorr 40T...

Lorr 40T because it would be Continued Practice with Autoloaders as I have the Strv 42-57 amd the Emil I already...      I don't have any French Tanks, but that's not an Issue on days I want to Run Autoloaders because then I'd have 3 to Rotate thru...     Only Problem here is, and it was pointed out on another Thread, you become very Dependant on your Team during the Long Reload to do the Right Thing...     These days, that's not always a Good Thing and my Emil is Paying Heavy for that....     But the Extra's could be well worth it....

The Lowe is a Good Fit because I am going up the Tiger Line...     I have also Played it in the Past on the Test Server back around 9.6 or so, before the Buffs came thru, and I liked it then so I see no reason for that to Change beyond the New MM and it being Tier 8....      Don't think I have Played it since then though....     And, No Extras....     Just a Tank....

The Thunderbolt VII does have some Interest though....     The Medium Americans are on my List of Things to Do just haven't started it yet.....        It too, like the Lorr, typically has Extras which are never a Bad Thing...

Now, I could Splurge and get the Lowe and the Thunderbolt, or the Lorr and the 'Bolt, but we'll have to see...    Clock is Ticking however....       lol
