Dear WG,

I hope the merge went well on your side and that you are able to optimize the server connection from NA resident. I personnally think this merge was needed in NA, for financial reason for sure (I can understand that), and since the server population was not as big as other servers, this will probably make the game experience better for NA players.

As you should now already, a small portion of NA players are actually from other continents for whatever reason (EU here, but also thinking about SA, NZ and AU mates). We could painfully deal with Coast server but Central one is of course at our disadvantage.

I was very hopefull when I first notice that you care about us, announcing working on a server transfer and keeping us updated this week:

Can I transfer servers if my ping gets worse?

We are working on a customer support plan to allow users to transfer servers. More information to follow shortly on this topic, and we will update this thread with links and details this week.

Will accounts be transferred or duplicated to another server?

We will share more information soon on our transfer programs, but all transfers will be one-way to the destination and no account duplication. Your entire account will be moved as part of the transfer and this is a one way ticket. You may only return to North American servers through starting an entirely new account.
Right now our focus is on our players who are closer to a regional server that they are currently not playing on.  For example players in Australia or New Zealand, they may want to transfer to the APAC server. Or players who live in EU countries, they might want to join the much closer EU server.

But over the days I keep reading contradictory message from posted support ticket and this is getting really confusing:

Hi ********,

Thank you for contacting Wargaming Support!

Before anything else, we would like to apologize for the delay in our replies, since we have been receiving an unusually high volume of tickets as of late.

So far, we do not have any news yet on what will happen and we do not have any scheduled Server transfer as of this moment.

I highly suggest keeping your eyes peeled for any further announcement on the World of Tanks News page for NA and Asia.

Greetings *************,

Thank you for contacting Wargaming support.

We appreciate your time to address this inquiry to us. We understand that your account transfer to different server.

Regrettably, we are not currently able to transfer player accounts to different servers. It is a technical limitation that keeps us from being able to complete transfers.

You are welcome to create accounts on other servers using the same email address.

So, I think we are all waiting for an official statement from your side with some more detail.

Are you currently working on the solution or, are you just thinking about wether or not you should allow it ?

Will this happen anytime in the following days/weeks or do you wait to see if the playerbase will stay the same despites higher ping?

I am just expecting some clarifications, as a mark of respect for your players. I just don't want to put hopes in your initial statements, spend the next days checking the news and the forums to be disapointed in the end. What I can tell you today is that I am not willing to/I can't play again on Central server after testing it, I can't wait for continuing the game experience on another server, and I don't think I am the only one in this case.

Please don't expect me to let it go and ending creating an account on EU server. I have not played with mediocre ping for 3 years on NA east to be forced doing it afterall.

I am not expecting any reply from WG on this topic, I just hope this won't fell on a deaf ear.

Greetings,

Oz

There definitely does need to be an official statement.

I fully agree. I don't really want to have to wait several weeks.

My last contact with support told me they were going to give an update this week though, although it would have been nice that a WG representative would have mentioned this on the forums, as I expect that it would have reduced the amount of tickets they are receiving.

There will likely not be an official statement.

Just remember, it's one way, never to return.

That grass might not be any greener on the other side of the hill.

I wish that was the case for just about everything on this forum... There are too many repeat threads, every other day or more. Kids today.

I understand what you guys mean, you may be lucky enough to not be concerned about this.

Maybe there wouldn't be that many duplicate threads if this server merge thing would have been planned properly and players not informed just a week before, with the servers transfer solution planned ahead.

Nice song thought :)

Realy?
I do not care about grass, greener or dont, but he has three big benefits: low ping one , tournament and clan war in normal time (19 -21 pm , not  03- 04am ! ) , and instant language packets

(not really interests where there are more bad players, because a lot are from him here )

Checked with Pingtracker. Grass is approximately 60ms ping greener on the SEA server for me. I imagine most people in Au and NZ will have similar findings.

Hard to get worse than this:

I strongly urge you to make an account on SEA and try it out before you consider moving.

SEA is not like NA, RU or EU.

I have an EU account and have played about 200 games on it. The EU server ping is 180ms, NA Central is 310ms, with packet loss. NA East was around 280ms. The game experience is VASTLY improved for me on EU server.

Also, the ranked battles and tournaments are 2am for me on NA, and 8pm on EU.

It's a no brainer. If I had known this from the start of course I would have gone with EU. But the website directed me to US automatically when I signed up. Now I have dozens of premium tanks (including tier 8 premiums), a few Tier X, IX and lots of lines up to tier 8. So starting again is not going to happen.

100% agree - it's actually hard to explain what it's like. Quite miserable until you get used to it.

WG needs to hurry up already with this server transfer. They shouldn't have moved to central and teased us with transfers before they were ready to actually do them in my opinion.

Why CS:GO or DOTA or LOL players never talks about servers, but we are doing. WG isnt a small company. They earns a lot money. Do something. I want EU.

It still hasn't happened. The last one is the default response (ie. not allowing server changes) that they send, so they have stopped receiving requests.
