Ive noticed that in matches nonstop there are teamkillers that wont play by the rules i wish instead of a treshold to just temp ban anyone that kills a team mate this is getting out of control i wish that wargaming would see how bad we need a admin or two to monitor the matches and temp ban anyone that breaks those rules instead of saying we have a bot that does this stuff well form what i have seen the bot isn't doing its job

A part of the issue with low tiers is players being incredibly new and autocannons.

So a new player probably doesn't have good awareness of their surroundings, so they pull up in front of an ally who's also new and not really aware that their autoloader burst will count as multiple friendly hits.  So two mistakes and one gets banned right away.

In higher tiers it's a lot more reliable and works much better.

One or two admins to monitor every match? They'd need 10s of thousands of them, They won't even higher a few more people to make more maps that don't suck.

Except...they don't always turn blue. I got one shot by an arty that was following me up the hill on Himmelsdorf. Not a word of explanation or apology, didn't turn blue, almost like it didn't happen.

Don't know if you've noticed, but now when you submit a ticket on TKs, they specifically tell you NOT to submit a ticket on TKs. Maybe it's been this way for awhile, IDK. I submitted the report and replay anyway along with a note to the effect of, "When they don't turn blue on a one shot TK, how do I know it even registers?"

The response was, "A certain amount of team damage has to be done before a TK will cause a tank to turn blue".

That's a crock.

The system (though not perfect) was designed to take into consideration accidental shots, even those that can one-shot a friendly tank from full health. It's unfortunate, but regardless of the factors, there will always be players that can and will take advantage of it for their own benefit (i.e. trolls).

The best way to handle team damage is to simply ignore it. Seriously, just pretend it didn't happen, or that the enemy hit you instead, because the amount of grief people have dealing with friendly fire is simply not worth it. Get over yourselves, it's a game, and it's only one match. Move on to another tank, and get on with your game. If you don't get killed, just keep moving forward and focus on the enemy. Sometimes friendlies don't have the wherewithal to apologize, sometimes they hope you will retaliate. Does it really matter?

The only time to submit a ticket should be if there was physics abuse as part of the action. Otherwise, just freaking move on and ignore the trolls. Any amount of response you give someone that is trying to get you to shoot them back is just feeding their desires, and takes you away from the game.

x.

yes just pretend it didnt happen.sometimes i ask in-garage after the match."why did you shoot me?" nothing aggressive.many times its the"oh sorry i didnt see you and shot". i always ask that they use safe-shot. i rarely have been shot-trolled,its usually the verbal shots-fired at me!

TK'ing will improve as you go up the tiers, there are a lot of people in lower tiers who TK by accident. The best thing you can do is completely ignore it and just focus on playing well, you'll quickly find that it stops bothering you.

Think about a tournament or Clan Wars.. Without Safe Shot, you might accidentally shoot a friendly, not only damaging a teammate but wasting a round of ammo and a full reload.   With Safe Shot you don't make that mistake, and your gun is still ready to fire immediately. It's clearly an advantage, and that's pretty much the definition of a prohibited mod.

A good compromise would be to allow Safe Shot in pubs, where it's a kindness, but ban it from competitions (strongholds, CW, tournies).  But that's probably too nuanced for WG.  Still... nobody's ever going to report you for using Safe Shot in a pub match, and I'd bet nobody has ever been banned for using it except in competitions.
