WG claims that the merger is better for NA, but from where I sit in the far west, it is only worse. We waited years to get good internet here and had WOT down to a ping of 30 - 50. Merger arrives, and we are back to the old ping of 70 -120 with killing lag spikes in the 350 range, especially in the evenings. Jitterbug tanks and shots that take two seconds to fire are a tad frustrating. The player base is even different - feels like a different country sometimes, and not one I particularly enjoy!

Yeah, we had longer wait times for a game on the west server, but that was a good time to grab a cup of coffee. You could have asked us first if we wanted the merger, Wargaming. I would have said  "No Way!" . Give us back the west server please.

My ping went from ~100ms down to 40ms avg.   I've played with ~100ms ping for several years and managed to make it work.

I'm pretty sure the main reason for the merger is the increase in players so that 30v30 would have a chance.  Personally I'm ok with the merge and hope 30v30 actually takes off.  I can understand your frustration in a (slightly) higher ping though.

I play with ping between 150-190 but do you see me complaining? I like the server merge. Less time waiting in queue is nice.

It is funny to see players complain about ping of 100 and less.

I have been playing for years with 150 ping, and now it is up to 165, I am managing to do OK with that.

I believe the spoiled players who had 40 ping and now have 70 can probably make-do.

Sao Paulo, Brasil.  I'm originally from North Carolina (a most beautiful state), but I married a wonderful Brasilian woman and have been living in Brasil for 12 years now. I love it here.

The server merge is great.... It's nice seeing total people online hit 25-30K

If by far west you mean Hawaii or Alaska then you maybe better to switch (back) to Russia.

In order for the merge to be undo, you will need about double the amount of people to play this game.  I don't see that happening anytime soon, do you?

Combine that with trackpadders on laptops with single digit framerates and the result is a useless team mate. My old clan had people that got excited when fps got to 10. That must be a factor in why some players are not helpful. WG should run a minimum HW check when client starts or the game does not launch.

The increased ping just takes a little more time to adjust the extra mm or so of lead needed to hit a moving target.
