Latest details from the FAQ on the website: 

 

 

08.28.17:

ATTENTION: To Transfer Your Account:
If you live in the APAC region and received an email from us regarding transferring your account, a response is required by end of today (Monday, August 8) 22:00 PT (01:00 ET). If you did not receive an email, you are ineligible to transfer your account.

 

 

So you're telling me you say you'll give a solution for ALL those living IN the APAC region a transfer if they want, before turning heel and selecting a very small proportion of the population (who don't even live in the region, such as me)?

What kind of [edited] crap is this WG? From browsing the forums for 5 minutes alone there are CROWDS of people who DIDN'T get the email who live in the APAC region. Now, you're spitting in their faces and turning your back on a significant proportion of your loyal customers who continue to wish to play your game. 

My personal gripe: why was I sent this email when I live in the UK? Of all people to receive an email concerning this, I most certainly should not be. I feel ashamed to have received this email with no intention of transferring (because you got it wrong WG) whereas many others would kill for it. I want a transfer to the EU region, not the APAC.

If you're incapable of even sending the applications to the correct, eligible people, how can you expect to garner a good PR? 

 

ALSO: WHY IS THIS INFORMATION SO [edited]DIFFICULT TO FIND? THIS TOPIC SHOULD HAVE ITS OWN POST ON THE WEBSITE, NOT PUT IN AN OUTDATED FAQ NOBODY VISITS ANYMORE.

It's almost as though the server transfer idea was thrown in at the last minute and given no real resources in order to adequately inform customers of the option to transfer.

 

All in all, not really shocking based on the lengthy track record.

It is appalling. For a game of this size to make it's founder/CEO a billionaire whilst treating it's loyal customers worse than dirt. If this isn't resolved very soon there will be uproar.

I live in the UK and have only just came back to the game. I saw a video on Youtube talking about the NA server letting people move to a new server because of the server merger, i then got happy and re-download the game a few days ago only to find out that what they are saying is all [edited]. FAQ said they would be posting information soon and they have not.

 

Sorry, I just wanted to rant.

You are assuming they have hands.

 

Based on their track record of "customer service", I doubt that they do.

The sad part is, loads of people are flooding the support team because they're just impatient. I hope all the tickets regarding this issue reach support before its really too late. Yeah the time was up yesterday evening for APAC but they should have some understanding for people that should have gotten the email but didn't.

 

Those EU transfer emails better start going out soon because this lack of information and communication in general is getting disturbing.

There isn't going to be an EU transfer, just like there wasn't one before when they split the servers in the first place

If they do a transfer to the EU server, they get a paying customer back on the EU. If they don't, they get nothing from me and I will never touch this game again.

I don't know if this changes anything but Wargaming does not deal with the SEA server, its under different developers :confused:

You're confusing the SEA server with the Chinese server.

I live in South Africa and would like to transfer to the EU server as the server merge has made it impossible for me to play now.

That is not correct, from the portal:

Not only should have they offered this years ago when the NA server was split, but the option should of been there since the game launched. Possibly as a paid service, of like all other normal MMOs, a simple selection on the login screen.

Per cabbage they said that they would look into account transfers and support etc were looking into it. Best to do is PM cabbage or email SUPPORT and see what happens.

The obvious solution is to let players have the ability to move their accounts or log on to whatever server they fell like at any time. It's idiotic for people who move or travel to be forced to play with high ping when they are grinding their tanks, or to have to get an new account to play on a different server.

It used to be a paid service as I understand from what others have posted. Similar to the name change.

It was never a paid service bud, WG have done 5 transfers to the SEA server when they wanted it populated some 4 years or so back, this next transfer will be number 6 to the SEA server, the EU-NA server have never been given the opportunity of any transfers since the game was in BETA

And its 13 days later. Man I have been waiting for this forever. I had to play with 230 ping before which at worst became 300. Now its 350 at best. Its literally unplayable. To think how much money was spent and now that I can no longer play.
