I was looking at my wn8 on noobmeter (946), wotlabs (945), and xvm, in game, (919) and have all of these different wn8 scores.  I know they all use different color scales but they are all pretty close in the rating systems.  My question is why are they so different?  Since they all collect data from the same server, shouldn't they be close?  A 26 point spread seems to be a lot.

Just curious.

Are there other sights besides these three?

Yes my wn8 sucks.  Yes, I should uninstall, blah, blah, blah.  Ha, I beat you to it.  I said it before you could

Why are you trying to follow WN8. WN8 is dead. No, really, it is.

I like to track my improvement.  It is not to ridicule others or compare myself to others, just for my personal satisfaction.Would you have an alternative suggestion for doing so?

The guys that make/made XVM recently refused (I think) to switch to a newer set of values, so that is most of the difference...

From what I have heard you should see no more than about 75 point difference...

Also, that is a good use for XVM, to help track your improvement...

Another good use is to see who on your team are good players, what I do is find the players better than me in the same class tank and I support them, follow them, learn from them...

Just pick 1 source and track your improvements from it. Don't get caught up with "which one is correct"

Its always been a bit wonky like that.  Some of the sites update/refresh at different times, but with 27k games played, your overall would not change from day to day.

I must admit, WN8 is becoming more and more irrelevant.

But for many of us, improving stats is all we have left in WoT.

Use ClanTools.us and you can flip through the different ways to calculate your WN8.

https://clantools.us...s?id=1006463675

Total/Randoms/Skirms etc.

Just use the filters.

And here in the forum you can install WoTStatScript and see everyone's stats as they post.

yet top 25 clans still use WN8 to determine entry into said clans. So it's not "dead" as people are claiming in this thread. Unified wn8 though makes padding easier.

Part of the reason you see the difference is that they all depend on different time sets. You can set it to last 1k battles, last 60 days etc. and depending on when they are using a cut off you will see some slight differences. I'd likely stick with either clan tools or wotlabs. i prefer wotlabs myself.

edit.....Like how silversound is saying wn8 is becoming irrelevant yet in their signature has wn8 values for entry into various clans of theirs.

Stats and competition are the only thing keeping this game from dying before everyone migrates over to War Thunder.

I never claimed it was totally dead.

In fact, I suggested a few ways to watch one's stats.

As to the WN8 values in my signature, they are just each clan's overall WN8.

Not really a bar to entry.

So yes, I still look at my WN8.

But at five years in, I can tell you that it is not the end all be all metric that it once was.
