I was browsing YouTube watching WoT videos and I stumbled upon this mod video, unfortunately the description nor comments help at all. I'm pretty sure it's not Gnomefather as I've had it before and I don't remember the 183 sounding like that... But yeah, I love the way the 183 sounds in this mod and I am in need of assistance finding this exact sound mod. And yes I do understand it's a very old video but any help at all would be welcome.

This is a version of Gnomefather's from back when he was actually making it.  Whoever took over changed the 155mm and 183mm gun sounds, for the worse.

I downloaded it last week to try it again and there's no difference in the sounds of guns no matter how far or what direction they're coming from...

dang it...

Yeah I really hate the new 155mm+ gun sounds and when I stumbled across this video I thought this was a completely different mod with awesome sounds.

My 1st large caliber tank was the t30.

The sound of American 155 back then was the slap of a wet towel.

Aslain's modpack has the option for Gnomefather's gun sounds now by Zorgane.    It's pretty good, close to your video clip.  At least a lot better than the lame WoT gun sounds.

To me it sounds like the historical gun sounds mod. im pretty sure you can find it in the Aslains modpack.

Matter of taste i guess but the low quality sound effect really makes my ear bleed both with headphones on or surround system. Especially on the bigger calibers.

Try this site.     http://wwiihwa.blogs...p/download.html
You click the Download Button, and it gives you a list of different things
Ambient sounds are background noises.
Ambient also includes HangMan, for different garages or hangers
Mix & match to your needs.
I just looked at the Engine and Hit sounds, older version, it will not work in 9.20.
Sorry about that  :(

The gun sound in aslain mod pack aren't what we used to have, dude is trying but the guns all sound the same...to me anyways. Sad to say but I'm pretty sure we will never have gnomefather gun or engine sounds the way they used to be.
