People are reacting to a tank that's actually penetrable being like "OMGBGGQ I PAID $100 TO CURB STOMP THE NOOBS AND I WANT TO PAY TO WIN. WHY IS THIS NOT PAY TO WIN WGGGGG?G?G?G?G?SDF?ASD AERGAW#RQ@#PTJW"

Since its a free to play game, this is how WG makes money for those who VOLUNTARILY buy.

If it was a subscription game, it would be a monthly fee (10-30 bucks a month?) And would be MANDATORY for everyone.

Which do you prefer???

I guess there is a third option by allowing WG access to your Internet history, contact list, camera, microphone,  etc, like "free" phone apps.

Oh, I guess the fourth option would be for WG to make and maintain their games at absolutely no charge to anyone.

I'm curious to see how you respond...

Actually yes, I would prefer a monthly fee so everyone was on the same page with the tanks and ammo. Then only SKILL and RNG would be factors. Not who spends more money to get get OP tanks or just spam gold all day long.

OP, when you go watch a movie for 2 hours, what are you getting for your money?  2 hours of entertainment at the price of whatever it costs at the theater of your choice.  If you go to a concert, it is a similar experience.  A dinner out which may be an hour experience and a 5-15 minute experience later at the toilet costs how much?

This pixel experience is more of the same; spending money for an entertainment experience.  Put it in that light and think on it. $15-$20 to watch the latest Hollywood remake for a couple hours?  Or $5-$80 to buy pixels to blow up other peoples' pixels for as many hours as you want.  It is discretionary money spending.  If you earned it, the best way to enjoy it is at your discretion in a manner of your choosing.

Well put and good point. Thanks for the constructive post.

You must be new here. They've always done 3 levels of packages for new tank sales; the tank itself, the tank with some goodies, and the tank with gold, equipment, full crew, and equipment. This is completely in line with what Wargaming does with their premium sales.

They aren't forcing you to pay 99 bucks just for the tank itself, though i highly doubt you would know how to scroll down on the premium shop because "ZOMG BIG NUMBERS THAT ARE COMPLETE AND UTTER BULL" mentality that is so bloody prevalent on this forum.

Oh you need to read more. The bloody title.....UP TO....just two little words, but they make a world of difference. Move on unless you have something of substance to post.

Mate, I did have substance. I was remarking at the obvious and completely unnecessary hyperbole that this thread was founded upon. What, do you expect people to automatically side with you when you make an outraged click-bait thread?

I'm going to repeat the same thing I said in my first post, this sort of deal is completely in line with what Wargaming does. Offering tiered packages with additional goodies is completely acceptable. Is Wargaming ripping you off personally by offering these additional bundles? No they're bloody not. Matter of fact I have bought these 100 bundle because god forbid I kill multiple birds with one stone because they often have a month of premium and gold that comes with them; even better is that all the things that come with these 100 buck bundles are often discounted down from their full price so you're actually paying less for all the things in this bundle. Sure in the case of the STG it's only 12% off but that's still something. Stop attacking Wargaming and the people who buy these bundles for offering these just because god forbid its a bigger price tag. It's bloody stupid.

I mean, that's a reasonable point of view (if one I don't personally agree with), but why not start that with that? Why did you use a hyperbole {'you get nothing for your money"}--without any indication that it was one--that you then contradict by saying this? After all, if you get an OP tank for $99 (though I really disagree with the STG being even close to OP), you're getting something for your money.

I could spend $100 on a box of fireworks that last less than five minutes.......or buy a few video games.

No one is forcing you to spend money on any form of entertainment.

I actually agree with the monthly fee option, but sadly, it is what it is.

You are missing the point. This has nothing to do with tiered packages and what you get. I was simply pointing out that they were charging UP TO $100 bucks for this tank. That is a good chunk of money so it pissed me off. This is not hyperbole. Large, bold font depicts anger.

Again, not hyperbole. Anger. I never intended this to be about monthly subscriptions. I was just responding to another person's post.

Valid point. Of course everyone can spend their money on whatever entertainment they want. But when your "entertainment" messes up my "entertainment"...there is a problem. You can have your box of fireworks, but if you set them off in my house or backyard.....there is an issue.

How is someone spending $100 on an STG messing up your enjoyment of the game?

Oh boy time to explode again. The thing you're CLEARLY not getting is that...

The. One. Hundred. Buck. Bundle. Is. Composed. Of. The. Tank. Gold. Equipment. And. Sometimes. Credits. And. Premium. Time.

So of [edited]COURSE it's going to cost one hundred bucks. Is there something wrong with paying more for a tank with some extra goodies with a fricken package. How is that a bad thi-

Oh bloody HELL.

Are you actually implying that when people buy these 100 buck bundles that they are in some by gone reason attacking you personally. Because that's the vibe I am getting from this section of text. And that way of thinking is absolutely disguising in the context of an online game.

It's just like a drug,,

costs a whole lot,, and only makes you feel good for a very short time and then it's gone.

and it harms your health stressing about it and working to afford it.

Yep just like drugs.

Monkey is angry because WG released a non-op tank for once and is claiming it affects his ability to "play4fun". Monkey does not seem to recognize the fact this is one of the most balanced premiums they've released in a while, so who gives a [edited]how much people spend on it. If monkey does not wish to acquire said tank, monkey simply need not buy it. Monkey will not miss out on anything super amazing nor will he be getting clubbed by another Defender-like tank. Perhaps one day monkey will have a realization that he is just bad and therefor his opinion is 100% null and can go metaphorically fuck himself.
