Modpacks, Mods, cheats, legal, or illegal... you have those who love them because they give them an advantage over everyone else.  You also have those who oppose any modification for the same reason.  I am curious to see what are players take on the issue.  Do you like them, hate them, would pay decent money to get them, protest to have all of them banned???  What are your favorite modpacks, either that you played with or you have seen but don't care to download?  What do you think of those players with the higher personal rating or top tier clans using them?  Give any feedback about the issue.

BETHESDAAAAAAAAAAAAA *throws spear*

anyway to the OP of this thread

important thing ti distinguish is different kinds of mods

from mods that are simple visuals (tank skins, crew picture mods, music mods, crew voice mods)

to mods that have a function(reticle mods that have additional like shell time, mods like battle assistant, or xvm wn8)

to illegal mods that have a function that has been deemed exploitable (map mod that shows trees down, gun laser pointers, and aim assist)

the vast majority of mod users only use the first category

and the 2nd category is slowly dying as WG impliment the helpful stuff into the game (to my knowledge, the only one they haven't yet is melty's protractor mod.  aka effective armor values of YOUR tank based on angles ex.  http://worldof-tanks.../mathmodfaq.jpg look at the center bottom blue bar)

the 3rd category hides in the 2nd, but as the 2nd becomes smaller and smaller, its becoming easier to identify 3rd.

but if you go on an anti mod crusade, people in the 1st, will resist you because 1st is harmless and fun.

"Everyone else" could have them if they wish, any disadvantage they have is of their own choosing.

I don't see a problem, I use mods on and off, just started using Aslains after not using any mods since Odem Mortis quit making theirs. I don't see any mods I use giving any advantage, they mostly affect my garage, like the female crew members, gold premium tanks, individual tank stats in the carousel, and after game numbers review in the notification center, etc. In game stuff is just reticles which are better shapes and colors for my personal taste, and some other information things. I hear people complain they get targeted for their xvm ratings, but really, arty targets things they can hit, things they can hurt, and things that threaten their team the most...not so much any particular person. I mostly ignore xvm except for the comprehensive daily totals for games and tanks in the Notification Center, which I really like. I was about to rage about my string of losses today, then noticed that over the last few days I've played, my average numbers in all categories were still good, so...meh. There is always a lot of posts about illegal mods...don't know if that's true or not...seems like it is sometimes. If there are Aimbots, and Redballs and things like that, they should be stomped on pretty seriously, repeat offenders should be banned, or it seems there should be some coding in the game that could disable anything that does that. As for buying mods, lol...not....I don't care about them enough, and they don't provide any real benefit outside the cosmetics for the most part...soooo.....no.
