I just purchased a 1/35th scale world of tanks tiger tank from my local Hobby Lobby. Honestly i did it mostly because the box said there was a code for the Pz. Kpfw. B2 740 [f] inside. Not only was the code the wrong one, (It was for the french 105 LeFH18B2) but it also expired on December 31st 2016! I've already submitted a ticket and am currently waiting for a response. I'm just wondering what your guy's experience with these kits are. Did you have problems with your codes? Was the kit good? The tiger kit seems ok. I like that there is options for zimmerit or not.

I have at least two dozen WoT codes from kits but they all expired years ago, long before I started playing. Many of those kits are still available at some local shops so the kit you bought could have been sitting on the shelf for a long time.

Sad to say, don't expect anything. Even when I had got it within the date, they wanted the image of the bloody code, the receipt and and image of the whole thing. All those hoops and I finally got the arty, and that was when it WAS before the expiration date. They even questioned me on that date. Yea sorry.

I get that you're upset because the code expired...

But being upset about possibly getting a Pz B2, but instead getting a LeFH18B2? Bruh, the LeFH is so much better for memes than the B2...

Get the Cobi World of Tanks kits instead, at least you can play with those tanks...

The Hobby Lobby I got the kit just opened. The "grand opening" banners are still up. No way it's been on the shelf for more than a week.

Doesn't matter how long the store has been open, could have been sitting on the shelf for years at their supplier.

EDIT: Just checked, these kits came out in 2015.

I got the Type 59 kit. Pretty well made, the code worked, but it was only for like 30 days of prem. The actual model itself is well made though.

My code didn't work and they got it fixed.  Also, expired cod s worked earlier this year so why not try?

It was a great way for Italeri to market their dated kits into relevance again.

All I can say is Expired typically means Expired, I wouldn't get my Hopes Up.....

My lefh code from kit off Ebay (from hobby shop) was EU only. Nowhere on the box does it state that. Submitted ticket but they wouldn't honor it on NA. Not sure what the big deal is and why they couldn't just invalidate the code on EU server and issue me tank on NA server.

UPDATE: The code ended up working anyways and even though it's not what i expected, I'm sure the LeFH will be good for some memes. If you have expired codes from a similar situation you might ant to try them (leave the dashes in)

Just FYI...don't purchase models from the one that advertises on WG sites...it is Euro- Italian I think company.

I like to put together models and my wife bought me one from that company cuz I play WoT.

Quality was bad.  I don't even think the codes for free stuff from WoT even worked.  Contacted them (the model company) about a couple things....crickets.

I finished putting a Tiger I together about 8 months ago. I painted it a flat desert color, it really looks good. The tracks are a pain to put together, but the rest of the tank isn't to bad.

Italeri are generally a second rate model company but they do have some good kits, don't build 1/35 armour so can't comment on which ones though.

I just finished the Tiger 1 and tried to use the StuG IV desert - reward camouflage pattern.. It was a fun build.

Kits aren't the only thing WG screws over.

Back when I started, my wife was in a bookstore and saw a WoT Game Guide book with a sticker on the wrapper that shouted about 4 or 5 free tank codes and such.   It looked like a huge bargain.     Turns out the codes were not valid on the NA.     No fooling...……..    It was straight up fraud.   The ticket I filed got a, "we aren't responsible" canned response.    They don't run the game much differently.
