been back playing for a little bit and enjoy the laughs when people talk crap in the game when they really shouldnt.

Last match I mention to a A-15 to not go over a hill and of course he did and died in a minute. I will be honest I probably shouldnt have said "how do people get to these high tiers and not know the basics" I didnt mean it as a diss to him but more of a amazement that so many high tier players are not good (dealt with in another thread)

Then a STA-1 pipes up and says "shut the bleep up scrub"

Im like, okay, so i say "sry didnt mean 2b mean"

he says the exact same thing over

Now I look at my monitor and check out his stats, this guy has worse stats than me and hes calling me a scrub, this is so typical in WOT.

little froomie has a worse win rate, a worse damage ratio, a worse destruction ratio, a worse wn8, a worse recent wn8, a worse recent win rate and finally a worse wn Rank.

another sign that yur dealing with a true scrub is when all they can do is keep repeating the same thing over and over like a little child, simply because they can not articulate much else.

this is not a post to brag (if i wanted to do that i would go to the bragging thread, which i think is so stupid) this is a post to let all you new players understand that there are alot of idiots out there who just want to troll people, get xvm, get wotlabs going and that way you can kow who is good and who is just full of....

cheers

So you didn't mean to be mean but you still have to take the time to type something which means there is some thought that has to go into it. So, why bother saying anything at all?

Most of the really good players I know are extremely humble about the game.

please read before typing, I did not tell anyone what to do,

I laughed at someone because they made a classic t1 mistake

Seeing a T8 with 20k games do exactly that is worth a laugh out loud in my books.

There is a big difference between "telling people what to do" , and pointing out "if you do that, you're going to die".

Oversensitive idiots can't be bothered to try and differentiate between advice, and a personal attack... with predictable results.

Let's set a scenario up...

Bunch of guys behind cover, with a sniper somewhere... that has their position targeted...

Guy 1: <Pokes head up... immediately gets it blown off>

Guy 2: <Pokes his head up in the exact same place, with obvious results>

Guy 3: <Starts heading to the same spot... >

Person who isn't a moron: "Dude, don't stick your head up there, or you'll die"

Guy 3: "Don't tell me what to do!!"  <Sticks head out... dies>

Person who isn't a moron: "OMG man, what the hell did you expect was going to happen there?"

Guy 3: Goes on a tirade about PWIAM's mother, and how it's somehow his fault that morons kept throwing their lives away... like he caused them to be idiots.

This scenario perfectly summarizes the thought process (Or lack thereof) of far too many of the game's player base...

When ever someone types something stupid in chat (i.e. noobs, this team sucks, shut the bleep up scrub, etc.) I just read it in the voice of Bart Simpson.  It makes the comment so much more hilarious.

That's the best idea ever! Maybe someone could come up with a mod pack that would do that?

Remember citizens:

1) Do your best!  If you make a mistake, own it and move on, but remember...

2) Be courteous, even if they aren't.

3) NEVER shoot a fellow teammate, even if they are shooting/griefing/abusing physics to your tank.

4) This is a GAME!  If you aren't having fun, go and do something more enjoyable for a while.  Wax your nethers, get a root canal, watch Ken Burns' 16-part documentary The Fiendish Plot of Arbor Day.

Good luck out there!

Dead guy in my battle on TS tells me "Don't back up!"  I back up.  I die.

He was my clan mate who had just gotten killed and was being an extra set of eyes.  He even told me what would kill me if I backed up.  But there was a kill shot to be had and I just needed to back up a tiiiiiny little bit.... Sometimes you just can't stop yourself from being stupid.

I am a middle-aged former full-contact sports big ol' guy.  I was pretty formidable in my 20s and 30s, but nowadays I require a cane for mobility (though a hip replacement may abate that somewhat), and I am statistically speaking larger than most people.  But, I try very hard to be courteous and polite, especially over the phone.  You would be surprised how much bluster and bile goes away when the little fella sees me in person.

To be fair, as a bigger guy, and since my cane is steel rather than aluminum (rated for a 450lb person, though I don't weigh anywhere near that anymore) it just looks like a bearded big dude with a metal bar glowering at you (I can't help it...  I have a condition called "Cro Magnon Brow Ridge" and I look like a troglodyte).  But I SWEAR I am just trying to be nice.

Besides, it is a game.  I try to win at it, and I get really upset with myself if my actions put my team in a bad spot, but at the end of the day, even if I did something worthy of a reprimand, I just try to not let the 'haters' get to me and take even venom with a grain of salt and try to see if their message had any truth to it.

Best of luck to you all!

~B

I was playing the test server earlier, but because this time around there arent hardly any players there, AND they are pretty much all using tier 10 tanks, I couldnt try out the tier 7-8 tanks I wanted to try out. So eventually I decided to try arty's after watching a teammate do over 4k damage in a tier 10 game using the tier 10 German arty(blah-blah E-100 I think its called, or some-such). During my 2nd or 3rd game, a teammate in a tier 10 heavy was about to be circled by an enemy light tank, who had gotten behind him, so I tried firing a round away from the teammate's tank(who was at about 860hp), but it landed right on top of my teammate and killed him instantly! That was the most damage I did in a single hit after 3-4 games! The 2nd most was 650-ish. It sucked, but at least it wasnt in a game that counted. I apologized, but he was Russian, so he posted like 3 Russian words, which I didnt understand..... LOL
