By unfair, do you mean that there isn't one of you on each team?

it must be pretty unfair that the better team won.

whats surprising is that its not even a blowout.

It could be considered unfair but also you are playing too much (178 matches in last 24hrs) it's posible that you've burned-out and are not playing your best game.

I agree with you OP, that battle was lost before the countdown ended......

MM has gotta consider Personal Rating in some capacity.  Blow out wins or losses are not fun, but yet constitute 90% of all matches.  WE, the players, play this for a good fight...... which seem to become rarer every time they tinker with MM.......

empyreal_recon  Not unfair teams...just RNG...

Worry more about learning how to make yourself better, and when you do that, guess what? Things will turn around...

Instead of making posts about how unfair things might be, spend that time going to watch videos to learn how to play better in WoT...

I wish I did when I had your low game count...and yes I was a red player to for a long time...

I also noticed we both started playing WoT in 2013...I have 22,000+ games, you have 3,000+ games...nothing wrong with that, I am just thinking its tough to get good at something without practice...

This game is a lot more challenging than it looks at first...

Unless you are some kind of gaming savant, it takes time (study and practice) to learn many aspects of this game...

Watch these to start...good videos...I still re-watch these videos once in a while to refresh myself...

Explaining Mechanics - Visibility System

https://www.youtube....h?v=7qrQ1UPltXg

Explaining Mechanics - Armor Penetration

https://www.youtube....h?v=UFktFSJZPsQ

Explaining Mechanics - How to Block Damage

https://www.youtube....h?v=WX4o2Yaf0hU

If you like light tanks...go watch videos on Youtube from these guys, they both have a lot of up to date scout videos...

Dauntless

https://www.youtube....pMAU_drqZK9s3rJ

4Tankersanddog

https://www.youtube....-zCh2Ivc2oOFiD4

There are many other content providers, but these guys above really go into the basics on scouts and other things, and keep their stuff pretty up to date mostly...I have watched ALL of their videos (almost), and I even made a spreadsheet of all the scouting positions for each map and each game mode from 4tankersanddog and Dauntless scout videos and a printed version of that spreadsheet sits on my desk at home.

Other Youtube content providers you should check out are: Zeven, Lemmingrush, Taugrim, etc...I am sure I am missing some other good content providers...

Also, watch 4Tankersanddog garage crawl videos for each tank type...in these he tells which tanks he like to play in the current version of the game, the rest are usually pretty much dogs...and he tells how he has them equipped and what skills...its a quick way to help learn how to setup tank equipment and crew skills...

https://www.youtube....iQin_H3EJcud4MF

People will hate me saying this, but get XVM installed...

Just use XVM to see who on your team is better than you, and in the same tank type at the same tier or higher, tag along behind that person and pay attention to where they go first on the map and all game, think about why they went where they did, support them, shoot at who they shoot at, just don't get behind them or in their way...

And if you do not know where to go on a map in your tank type, watch these videos:

https://www.youtube....7gkqUqpaKKCGUUJ

Zeven player replay reviews are also a good source of where to go on maps and finer tactics of what people should of done as he watches the replays...

I'm sure you get just as many games that are biased in your favor. I suggest you keep a written record. After a week, review the data and if it is unfair then you have a case. This is what I do when I feel the game is biased against me. Then I look at the data and realize it's not actually true.

Dear OP,

Whoever told you to install XVM with only 3600 battles did you a disservice. It has you thinking the reason for your performance is MM when it's really you. Your damage per game and survival rate are not good, even for tiers 4-5 where you seem to be playing.  There are some very good guides on these forums which can help you understand why yoloing for arty is not good idea much of the time. I get that you may only want to shoot tanks and don't care about getting better. That's fine. However, improving a little bit will let you shoot more tanks more often which is more fun.

where does this 90% number come from?

what are you considering a "blow out"?

So what you're actually calling for is MM to be rigged to attempt to assure a close battle.  Because if the tanks involved overall are even, then the fact that OPs team is just flat out incompetent doesn't make the game unfair.

And to think that all it would take for your team to have one less red is for you to not be one of them.

lol blames MM at t4-6 when the player level there is utter trash. Just looking at his janky XVM you can see that really only 1-2 players out of 30 are "decent".

Stop blaming MM and accept some responsibility that maybe....just maybe the problem is you....

UNINSTALL XVM.

You will be happier, play better, and help your team more.

any form of SBMM will not fix blowouts, as long as the snowball effect exists they will still be there

Very few games go the distance with the winning shot fire 1 second before the end.

Most games are over in the first 3 minutes. In that time you are either kicking or getting kicked.

By 5 minutes it is time to hit the showers.

Hard to learn to better yourself when ya got 3 minutes.

In tier 5 and below, games tend to be fast. The ratio of damage to health favors damage and the players tend to be inexperienced and have poor crews or equipment.  Battles usually last longer in higher tiers, in my experience.

But people are demonstrably able to get better regardless of that time limitation, therefore it is a limitation that can be overcome.
