The best, similar, example for this suggestion is GTA Online. Rockstar released their map tools to all the community to make new maps and missions. Not only that, the best maps get voted to post them in the game as official maps

Releasing a "Community Sandbox" to all of us will allow you, Wargaming, to

  • Have more maps
  • FASTER expansion of map content
  • Community-only contributions
  • Faster expansion = More gameplay
  • Never aging maps (frequent new maps)

With the community behind you, creating new maps, you can have contests for community maps to officially approve and introduce into the game in months, instead of years.

An engaged community creating maps is bound to expand, improve the game at a drastic pace, keeping it always feeling new.

This is something I've been hoping WG would do for a while now. Community made camo/emblems would also be nice.

The only problem i see with having frequently new maps is the pubbies will not know where to go.

It takes months for every player to adjust to a new map and understand where to play a tanks corresponding respective position.

Mind we are in the process of getting 14 HD'd maps with new adjudged terrain to play on

Sounds good, they already have modders that work on GUI information why not allow people to work on maps? Give them the access to information they need along with guidelines, etc. they need in their map development.

This has already been discussed before.

I think the main issues were the sheer size of the map creation tool being too big for the average end user pc and some legal issues with distributing licensed software to end users

Lets have 100 v 100 on the Need for Speed Most Wanted map from 2005...
