and how does it compare with the WZ-111?

It's a new offering but it's hard to get excited about any Tier VIII's in the current MM environment.

I had fun in mine.  A bright spot in an otherwise rough morning.

Its a very fine sniper in a meta that absolutely hates snipers. Pay attention to a few factors in particular- 360m base view range, just not quite enough to feasibly run optics. Sub-2.2k base DPM, needs time to get work done, can't muscle its way out of a situation in a hurry nor has the armor to buy more time. And 30 deg/s base hull traverse with no turret, therefore vulnerable to close range circling maneuvers. Each of these by itself may not mean much, but all three together makes for a tank that can't brawl its way out of a wet paper bag. In the current meta, that should raise some eyebrows.

Just saw a couple of reviews / previews. Once spotted this thing is toast.

Lackluster pen / damage are not helping either.

I wait for something better to come along.

I didn't know the SCA had a spin off clan.....   What Kingdom are you in?  I'm in the East.

Same situation with Swede TDs, although the Swede's have fantastic pen. I'll stick with them, since I am well along the way to getting the tier 9 Strv 103-0, which seems to have a tad longer life expectancy.

My humble opinion is that unless a premium tank is really special or serves a purpose, you shouldn't buy it.  The WZ-111 has the ability to train Chinese heavy crews so I can find some use for it, but it's only a mediocre tank according to all reports and just plays slightly different and slightly better than the 112.  HOWEVER, it does get premium MM, so you shouldn't see Tier X with it and that has some value to me.  I just don't know if it's $50 bucks worth of value (I don't need the large packages of any Premiums).

*I am grinding the Chinese heavy line now and am 50K of XP away from the Tier IX gun.  I need a gun that can pen without premium shells and therefore, won't bleed credits.  I have the Chrysler which just isn't competitive without premium rounds and I'm out of Credits right now so I can't play my Chrysler unless I want to guarantee the loss and/or be completely useless to my team.  If MM were truly random, I'd be top tier for 2 games in a row at some point.  Not only has that never happened, but I've never been top tier 2 out of 4 games either.  Unfortunately for me, I'm in a Pay-To-Stay kinda place...

260mm of standard round penetration is lackluster at tier 8? Since when?

The last thing I want to purchase with the new kinder, more gentle MM is a turretless tier 8 TD that blows its camo every time it moves to engage targets outside its gun arc. Add to it the current meta, limited selection of openish maps and an over abundance of corridor and city maps...well let's just say I'll pass on this "gem" that so far is priced in the out of touch with reality range.

Half-assed TD sold with a bundle of crap I don't want.

Yep, easy to walk away from that.
