I am at the AT 15; JUST under 15k until I get the Tortoise.  And I am going to have to grind through the B barrel before the 120mm, so, 105k experience just on guns, and that doesn't include the tracks or anything else I might need before the FV215b 183.

Please, SOMEONE tell me that this is worth the whole "traveling everywhere at 20kph" thing!

Considering that the FV215b 183 is getting removed from the game and replaced with a 'super turtle', you might want to try WoW for a while.  Good times!

The deathstar is a shadow of its formal self nerfed into oblivion over many years by wargamming. Sure sometimes you have a good game in it but for 8k a shot just to see it go straight into the ground it isnt really worth it.

The comments are pretty negative overall, BUT you will still get the new TD if you get the Fv215b 183 before it is replaced.

Although it isn't the best, nor most consistent, in my humble opinion I believe that if you're going to get the Super Tortoise anyway, you might as well snag the FV before it goes away.

No, not for an interesting or competitive tank.  It is quite a meme-vehicle, though.

If you're not running 100% HESH, you're doing it wrong.  I mean, you can say I'll carry HE or AP when I don't need HESH, but who's got time to switch rounds with, at best a > 25 second reload.

... when RNG lets you LOL

Snipe Jagzilla coupla for 1700

Hit FailLowe weak spot for 1800

Hit TVP 50/51 side for 1650

On three consecutive shots, no less.

Its just a meme vehicle nothing more though its replacement tank seems promising.

The 183 is lol.  Shenanigans.  Derpy.  Explody.  The deleted of tiny tonks.

Worth the pain of the crappy tank grind?  No.

That's why I free exp'd it

I was just at the Tort and free XP'd to the 183.  I can't say it's a good tank for me, but I laugh a lot playing it.  It's more like a T10 KV-2.

Last couple game... took a long shot across the map and deleted a T10 med from almost full health.  Flanked a Maus and got him for 1800hp.

How long do we have to grind it, cause I'm thinking either NO or like Tsavo and free xp'ing it.

The real qeustion is ...if you have to ask others why...then why grind it?

FYI unless its Russian , every OP tank is a shadow of its former self

Repsectfully

Cloud_1

And yes I have the FV215b, FV215b 183 and the Foch 155... So i didn't ask why...because 3x 6.1m credits is a nice bit of compensation for all the ongoing issues( non fixes) in WoT

I'm sort of in the same boat at the AT-15 right now. It can still make a great assault tank and can bully same or lower tier heavies, but those tier 8-10 games though...

The Tortoise follows the same assault tank philosophy as the rest of the line but when I look on armor inspector it seems it will be penned by pretty much every heavy it encounters. Everywhere, not just the cupola but the entire roof and front glacis. Not too sure if I want to grind out 300K+ XP in a tank that crawls everywhere and gets penned just as often to get a Death Star.

Yes, I think it was worth it. There is nothing funnier than deleting a tier 10 tank with one HESH round, unless you delete a tier 10 tank with an arty.

I'm at the AT-8 :(

Absolutely the worst line to play, I knew that before I started because they are easy TDs to pick apart. Slow, massive weakspots and weak alpha guns, you just run circles around them or just peek and shoot them into oblivion. People say the Swedish TDs are very situational, but these are on par with them.  Right off the start you hope it is not a blowout either way, drive by wrecks or end up getting mauled by a group of tanks. There is no way to adapt to swings in the map control, so being a support TD is limited.

Last I heard, till beginning of December.  So about 6 weeks.  But that's just hearsay, so don't take it as Gospel.

I free XP'd through half the line.  I already had the AT2 (which I love) and wanted the AT8, but the only tank I'm grinding right now is the Tortoise.  Holy Hell, is that a painful grind.  The Tortoise has so many well known frontal weak spots, it might as well not have any armor.  The gun is fickle, it's slower than death, and the alpha is really low for the ROF on the biggest gun with meh penetration.

I really wanted to like this tank, but I can see me selling it as soon as I hit tier 10.....

I could free XP past it now, but I don't want to waste the free XP on the Death Star.....  Only 11,000 more matches to go. :P

Personally I find the Tortoise to be wayyyyyy more enjoyable than the deathstar. The dpm of the tortoise makes it so much more adaptable to environments whereas the deathstar fires a shot and for the next 25sec you're just fearing on what might ambush you. However I do roll out my deathstar from time to time because memes :D
