Gearhead here. Is there any information about this V12 diesel engine that is used in applications ranging from electric power generators, marine motors, to the Challenger tank family?
As an example, is it DOHC, SOHC, OHV (pushrod)? Does it use wet-liners (removable cylinder liner that is in contact with engine coolant) or parent bore liners? Is it using a 2-bolt main bearing cap, 4-bolt, 6 or a bedplate to support the crank?
One engine in comparison is the DD15 AKA the OM472 used in Freightliner trucks.

The DD15 is a DOHC diesel motor, 4 valves per cylinder, 2 bolt main bearings, wet cylinder liners etc etc.

I've always had trouble finding information on the performance of larger diesel engines, likely because their performance is hard to measure. Good luck with that search.

I've found that you can get very basic performance information like power output or power generated from this motor (1200 hp) but I don't think you can really find detailed power/torque curves, BSFC, etc etc.
