I'm certainly concerned about no merging.  There's tanks on the ASIA server account that I do not have on the NA account (the Edelweiss and Nameless among them).  Having them deleted by the NA account transferring over would be rather upsetting, especially since I paid real money for them.  Not to mention the gold, credits and free XP, and the equipment.

They wouldn't be deleted, your NA account will be brought over as a separate entity leaving your current APAC account intact.

Are you for real? So wargaming is gonna just toatally do a 180 and now say no merge will occur? I was prepping my account for ages ready for a merge, im so pissed about this

I am sorry to hear that, I will pass yours and other feedback I received about the change to the process on to the team.

They use the same email address.  How will I access both?  To be perfectly honest, I'd be very happy with a merge rather than having them separate.

Yeah it's pretty bloody annoying that there'll be no merge of accounts, I don't really care about the content on my Asia account as I only started one to check the ping and only have tier 1s and 2s, but I was looking forward to having my main WoT account on the same server as my WoWS account and having them linked by being associated with the same email.

Meanwhile I have a fully fleshed out account on both NA and ASIA, because I wasnt able to get my NA ccount to ASIA i had to leave an account with multiple tier 10's ect, I now have built my ASIA account to roughly the same size with none of the same tanks I have on NA. AND now after months of contacting support with multiple back and forth messages they say no merge full stop. Glad to see wargaming is always sticking to what they say (cough mutant)

Why would you ever expect anything better out of them?

  1. How does the transfer process work?

Transferring accounts is based on the account information you provide us in this form (INSERT LINK). Once we reach the cut-off date we have an automated tool that recreates accounts on the Asia server based off of the US account, then perma-bans the old account from the server, effectively wiping it.

Recreate =/= Merge

Migrated, yes. It means the data would be moved over, but it does not explicitly state what would happen to the existing data on the other side.

This thread states "recreates accounts" while another thread stated:

  • Only your World of Tanks PC account will be moved as part of the transfer. If you already have an existing account on the APAC server, we will work to merge the accounts and preserve everything possible — from tanks to Crews to equipment. Duplicate Premium tanks will be converted. We also will take into consideration Premium time, Gold, Credits, and XP balances — and combine these totals in a fair manner

Thus the resulting confusion by a lot of players.

My ping on NA is 'high' at about 220, but as it's pretty stable I won't even consider transferring until the ANZ Server demonstrates a solid and reliable player base. I do NOT want to move over only to find out that there's not enough on the server to get decent queues, particularly as it is being made very clear that you cannot transfer back to NA if things don't work out. If you had a window open where you could transfer back I would dip my toes in the water, without that possibility it's totally not worth the risk - and I would be pretty sure a lot of other players have the same concerns.

In the meantime I hope that the player base in the ANZ-peak/US-offpeak timeslot don't simply get split down the middle and make it an unplayable queue on both servers.

Hello Cabbage :)

Would it be possible to suggest to the team to explore the idea of a 'one-time paid merger'?

Those who wish to transfer their accounts can do so for free. While those who wish to merge their NA and SEA accounts can pay for this one-time service.

US East and West has merged in to US Central, Asia server is getting their second transfer window as well as the Australian Periphery Server, EU might get their transfer window soon. After this time period, players would have more or less decided on which server they want to stay on, I highly doubt there would be any more need for such transfers again in the future.

I'm sure a one-time paid merger would satisfy both sides, players would be able to consolidate what they had earned before the launching of the different servers. It would also help in Wargaming's Public Relations, previously promising a merger and then doing a 180 left a sour taste for a lot of players. Exploring this one-time paid merger option would allow for a 'halfway' route. Players would feel more comfortable to invest more money in this game and Wargaming would net a healthy profit from this one-time service, earning from the paid merger and any additional future investments from the player.

I've invested a portion of money in to this game and the only thing that had held me back from doing so again is because of the uncertain future of having two accounts. Whatever purchases I chose to make would feel incomplete. If our accounts were allowed to be merged, I'd feel a lot more confident to continue investing more money in this game. I initially had planned to purchase a year of premium during the Christmas discounts at the end of the year if the merger had gone through.

It is still some time before the applications close and the transfer takes place, so maybe you could suggest this option for the team to explore. A lot of the players have waited quite some time for the transfer, so I'm sure we wouldn't mind waiting a bit more for the one-time paid merger.

Thank You :)

So no account  merge

So lets get this right

Example A

NA account 40 k battles

Sea account 5 k batles

I get what a 40 k sea account?

with my tanks from both accounts in the 40k new sea accoun?

Example B

NA account  2 k battles

Sea account 30 k battles

I get a 2 k Sea account ?

with all my tanks?

Eample C

NA account 60 k battles

Sea account 20 k battles

I now have 2 accounts on Sea

1at 60 k battles

! at 20 k battles?

What am i actually signing up for?

Pretty sure it's C, which is pretty dumb, coz who needs 2 accounts on the same server?

We are still working on the EU transfer, but as promised we are doing the APAC transfer first. It took a little longer than we had hoped, but once we confirmed the Australian server, we had to ensure we delivered on our first promise to ANZ players to offer them to a lower latency solution. We will keep on the job for the folks who wish to transfer to EU and have more info at a later date.

The previous information is outdated as a different process is being implemented, no merge will occur.

It should only be an issue if someone is using the alt account to circumvent a ban on the main.  Those tanks will remain on the account they were earned on.

This is the window, other opportunities may come up in the future but we are concerned with this one currently.

Your nickname/account on the APAC server would be the domain of APAC Support, so you will need to contact them and explain the situation.

Why would I play on two seperate accounts though? The only reason I'd want to transfer this account (9k battles) with that account (14k battles) is to unify both so I can play competitively on Asia. If I wanted two seperate accounts, I'd have two seperate accounts on two different servers so I'm getting a different experience with each. We were specifically told that the accounts would be merged, so if there are technical limitations preventing a merge, just own up to it, make a compromise and I'm sure we'll deal with it. Don't just randomly change it randomly like that.

You could not have said that any better, its just not worth the risk.

I was planning to stay on NA, but the new central server has ruined my game sadly :(.

So this is great news!

This sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.  Already changed the email on my Asia account.  With how this has gone so far, I am taking all precautions so they can't get it wrong.

Honestly when you make a promise about merge you follow it up!

Classic case of over promise and under deliver.  That's what keeps the customers happy so they keep coming back......

Please ensure you have read the warnings on the CDC website before transferring your account.

Merge our account FFS, i'm buying Premium and premium tank on my ASIA account and that'll be a waste on my ASIA account. I can't even buy prem time and prem tank in NA because i don't have any credit card and paypal. and my NA and asia have a same email.
