So, I'm playing the Lakeville map in my IS-3 with 1450 health points.  I'm on the way into town like a good little heavy should, and get spotted from lake road by the red team scout.  Next thing I know, I'm dead from a single shot from the FV4005.  How is it even fair that a Tier 8 can hope to stand up to anything like that?  Granted, I know the FV doesn't have a lot of armor and won't stand up to much, but I think the thing is way overpowered.  Thoughts, comments, cares, concerns?

So its OP because it got lucky, hit a flat surface of a tank 2 tiers lower and one shotted ...really ?.....

Yeah, that's pretty much just horribly bad luck.  I don't think the 4005 got any speed buff in the end (did it?) so this has pretty much always been possible.

I assume you were actually hugging the very south edge too :(

Lakeville - never go valley - hug the red line while heading to city - profit

How long have the 183s been in the game? They have always worked this way; big risk, big reward.

That depends on whether or not you think one shot mechanics are good for the game

That TD get's a taste of its own medicine if it gets hit by arty. High likely hood of a full damage hit by any arty.

Got one-shotted by one in a Lowe the other night.  Yelled "Holy Sh**!!"  Loaded a different tank and hit battle.

Unless your scouts and counter scouts screw up, then you get spotted and shot in the side before you ever get to the city.  That's part of the allure of valley to some people, no relying on others to keep you from being one shot by a 183. Still doesn't make valley a good idea most of the time, though.

There's a difference between OP and broken.  One shot machines are all broken to some extent, but only some are OP.  The 4005 has actually been the worst of the T10 TDs up until this buff, and probably didn't get enough of a buff to move into OP territory.  None of that makes it less painful or game breaking for the victim.

What if I told you that in the test server the same FV was able to outrun AND oneshot your IS-3?

The thing needed some buffs on live server.

Would you rather die fast and get back to the garage for a new game, or lose half your HP to a Jagdpanzer, then waste thirty seconds and several round$ failing to pen it, before it inevitably takes your other half?
(Can you tell which one kicks my [edited]more often?)

Wait until we all finish our Death Star grinds.  There are going to be so many 183s flooding the game just before they remove it that everybody will be getting one shot, and it will be hilarious.

Worst one shot I had was while mouthing off to my friends in a match.  I'm in an ST-I pushing a corner, and they kept saying watch out for that T30...and I assured them that my frontal turret would be okay.  Right after I said, "I'm not worried about it," my tank exploded in an epic ammo rack and the turret went flying 20 feet from the hull.

Might as well nerf all of the derp guns that can oneshot two tiers under them.... Hetzer, M4, KV-2, etc..... many vehicles have that capability. That is not the problem, really. It has been that way for awhile now. The questions to ask are more along the lines of what did I do that allowed that to happen? Did you skirt the red line while moving to town, or were you far enough out to be easily spotted? The interface has the option for vision rings to be on your minimap to help you gauge these types of thing.

I don't think it's OP, but I think the concept of one-shotting tanks (except ammo rack explosions) is a stupid game mechanic/concept.  This also applies to other tanks like the ISU-152 one-shotting tier 6 tanks.

I was also in a tier 9 Conq that got one-shotted by a FV4005, so it isn't just a "bottom tier" issue.

I bet you were (very likely) one of the noobs who crossed the map to city in the open and got spotted. You deserved to get wrecked for being stupid. Always the tomato players complaining about things being OP when they are the ones being stupid. And looking at your stats I can tell that you are very likely a tomato player consistently. So stop whining and learn how to play properly.
