That consumable has been in there since the Pudel was released. It's well known that Polish tanks are coming. Probably next year.

My grandparents both emigrated from Poland. I grew up with all of the authentic polish foods around the holidays. But, I had never heard of smalec until I saw it in game. You'd figure WG would actually put some research into it and pick a food that Polish people actually like and eat.

It looks like it is consumed by Poles.  It also looks like it would not have been consumed around the holidays the same way Hamburgers are not Christmas food in the US.  I had it when I was little from my Polish side of the family and it was presented very much bread and butter was eaten - a thing that shows up but not a big deal.

The Polish premium food consumable was available in the in game store before the "Pudel" was even introduced to the game!

Sometime next year and Italian tanks are confirmed to happen at some point (taken long enough).

I prefer Pudel noodles to little toasted dogs.
