Of course!  The question is whether noupperlobeman is among them.  Comparing people to cancer isn't nice.  Humanity has a long history of that sort of rhetoric, and it usually ends poorly.

Name which nations of the past fell into disaster because someone said something someone didn't like in a conversation? Feudal kings and barons exchanging insults to ferment wars to reduce population doesn't count.

I'll tell you were it leads. It leads to situations where someone of one color will discipline someone of the same color and nothing is said but if that someone was to discipline someone of another color for the same infraction all of a sudden its racist and bigoted and oppression etc etc etc. Happily at least in this country people are waking up to the hypocrisy and not falling for it like they used to do though of course there will those who get triggered no matter what as this thread shows.

What ever happened to ignoring the kids when they act up? This thread has literally confirmed that what they do gets attention and anger so all this thread will do is cause more of it to happen. Plus this is very rare when put against the server population as a whole. I'm sure 99% of every race playing on this server gets along just fine and has no issues playing with each other. You see this is the trap of having a thin skin. You become completely predictable and controllable on your actions and reactions and the crank yankers keep on having a blast.

Only You Can Stop The Madness. ;)

simply put.  Bad behavior that does not get addressed...get repeated.  Good behavior that does not get recognized does not.    Its low hanging fruit and pretty simple.  If you allow it, you accept it...and acceptance of someone popping off with the type of rubbish simply isn't good.   I keep seeing the same response repeated.  "thin skin" .   How many times do you allow something to go on before you stand up....and then when you know you're right, its thin skinned?   That  logic feeds the problem.   Kinda like a septic tank.....it needs waste to feed the bugs, to digest the turds.......go ahead and swim in that warm pool of comfort if you will....

Actually when put in the context of trolling chat bad behavior that is recognized either with counter trolling or butthurt or even official moderation breeds even more bad behavior. Just like the snotty kids on the block keep harassing old man johnson who keeps yelling at them to stay off my lawn! even after their parents yell at them over and over. I remember when chat was heavily moderated at all hours. Know what chat was like then? Even more of a cesspool than now because for every troll the mods purged three more would spring up even more vile which is why there is no longer any moderation in chat. This isn't real racist behavior where someone is hurt in reality this is trolls trolling a freaking game chat no one really reads anyways. Again much ado about nothing. Grow a thicker skin.

Simply put...if you are 51 and still get so offended by something that someone on the internet says to you that you feel the need to do SOMETHING about it, I truly feel sorry for you.

You are 51, put on your big boy pants or get off the internets.

Are you one that sits by idle?  And at the ripe age of 50 not 51 yet I think that far fewer things offend me than when I was younger...But the big ones will always be something that I cant abide by.   But that's just me.  You feel free to do what you think is correct .

Yet you didn't ignore it.  You responded to it.  Why?  (Don't answer me.  Ask yourself why my pixel-words affect your mood, and what that means about your words' affect on others.  Sleep on it.)

No, you'd do it to prove that receiving crank calls doesn't bother you.  But you seem to indicate that having strangers call you up to have a laugh at your expense would bother you.  Doesn't that mean it's wrong for you to do it to someone else?  Or are you the one who's high in the pecking order of life?

Here’s the separation between you and 120mm HE: you actually think responding to a post elicits a heightened emotional response. You’re keyed up and arguing from an emotional state “He replied with a rebuttal! He must be super mad! I’ve got him where I want him!”. To you a debate is actually an emotional attack on the opinions you hold. This is the hallmark of leftist thought (not saying you are one): argument from emotion.

120mm is just having a discussion.

Of course its a perspective. The problem is that nowadays everyone seems to want to hoist their own personal perspective on everyone else and judge them by it usually with fairly terrible results. I get that sometimes in chat trolls will troll. Is it 'right'? In the grand scheme of things sure being an a-hole won't get you very much respect but on the other hand its hardly a criminal act like some would try to argue. If you don't like what someone says ignore them. It really is that simple.

If you need me to explain why referring to an entire continent of human beings as "a festering malignant tumor" is stupid, the very nicest thing I can do is to assume you're a child who needs his parents to explain it to him.

So it’s an argument against tone? Why, that’s the most useless argument there is friendo. And it isn’t one.  You didn’t take issue with what I said, but how it was said? It’s an utterly useless stance to take because you’re not saying a god damn thing.

Perspective aside.  The choice is simple.  Is it right ...yes or no.   If its not something that should be spammed in chat.  Then it shouldn't happen.  Pretty simple.  I can think of many things in this world that are as clear...speed and get caught ...ticket.   Steal and get caught... Jail.   Shoot your mouth off to the wrong person...and we have an altercation.     But when you try and change the definition of something you need to be correct in doing so.   And honestly no matter what gets posted here.   What I originally posted about isn't acceptable behavior.  full stop.

Who is debating whether its right or wrong? Of course if you are typing actual racist text then its wrong. The question is there anything that can be done about it and the answer is no. For every troll you slay more pop up and will always pop up no matter how hard you try to stomp them out. In the context of this game and its chat there is little you can do except ignore them. You can report them and possibly get them banned but it won't stop it from happening nor will it ever stop it from happening. WG can't go into a persons head and change their personality and they have already done all they can do by giving you the tools to self police and make your experience better. Once again much ado about nothing.

People offended by words on the internet = loooool. There is a reason people act like fools as described by the OP....to get said rise out of the thin skinned pansies.

Pretty sure I have more combat missions than you have birthdays, pal. So "pansy" doesn't fit me, try it on yourself, see if it fits.

As for thin skinned, when it comes to this crap, damn right. I can't do enough to racist A-holes. It's worth every goddam second it takes.

Your ignorance is awesome.

One can only imagine it has taken years of careful and thorough rationalisation to have arrived at such a stunted world view.

Kudos to your parents on their epic fail. :great:

Noone cares about your fictional deployments. Glad to see my post hit home with your pansy little girl emotional response.

In addition you know you have no real response/rebuttal or reply when you need to try and brag about your make believe deployments as if they mean something...they are nothing special, as literally everyone who has served has been deployed numerous times. Although with your pansy attitude I see why you chose Navy for your "career"...

So do you always counter an argument with no argument but lots of insults? Hardly seems the type of reply parents would teach or condone.

Simply put.  How long do players have to endure the ignorant commentary by players?  Personally I tire of the reports but not appearance of follow up on what is a topic that should be held at the same level as cheating IMO.   The onslaught of close minded bigoted players of late and their feelings being expressed about players specifically from South America has gotten to a point where I see it daily, if not hourly.  I don't need to hear "blacklist them"  that already happens.  But I do feel that I am not alone in the concern that this is being allowed to fester, giving it an air of acceptance from Wargaming.   Will I stop playing?  Doubtful as I do enjoy the game and the people I game with.  I simply have gotten to the point that I wanted to vent here.  Put it out there.  I am almost 51 yrs old.  I served my country honorably.  I am a parent of adult children in College.   And I honestly despise the keyboard warrior that feels safe to get away with this acerbic commentary without repercussions.   So there it is Wargaming.  Your move.

They do take these things seriously. Believe me, I have two strikes already :(
