So we have a 39% 1200 game player in a Skorp G run up the 0 line and YOLO himself to glory in the first two minutes of the game.He spends the next 12 minutes clicking the map continuously. I turned chat off to stop the visual tirade, but the map pinging gets really old fast

I like to run vanilla, but wow!  I would PAY for a mod that stops the incessant map sounds.Anyone see anything like this?

There is a mod but I'm pretty sure it just keeps the mod user from pinging the map.

It doesn't happen often, but when it does it's annoying as hell.  Plus one OP.

Tbh there's no reason it's not included in the vanilla client.  But look how long it took us to get a failtoon block.  And then only because of the 3/5/7 MM.  If it weren't for that we'd still be waiting while console had it long ago.

Just put a cool down or better cool down if one already exists WG.

this, adding someone to the blacklist will stop both chat and map pings from them. If someone is spamming either the chat or map then there is no real reason to not blacklist them anyway.

It does get irritating usually its a light that drove to his death in the first minute then they spend the rest of the match just pinging away on every square on the map wile typing derogatory comments to his "team" blacklist works well.

Unfortunately, my blacklist is already full... Incessant map-pinging is a problem that could be easily addressed if WG thought about more their customers and less about their big money pile. But, we all know that won't happen.

x.

In my modpack you will find mod Minimap Ping Spam Blocker.

My blacklist is full too but they added block for battle or something like that, basically same as blacklist but only for the duration of the battle. Stops map spam bots quite well.

>Anyone see anything like this?

Mod 'Antitoxicity' - option "Filtering "battle combat" (Note the square, Help, Attack, etc.)"

>My blacklist is full too

Mod 'Antitoxicity' - option "A dimensionless "black-list" (with cleaning function)"

;)

You can click their spam itself and it gives an option to block that player for the battle, not sure if it bypasses a full black list or not.

Also if your blacklist is full you can always free up space by spending a bit of time removing anyone that hasn't played for a month or more, I'm sure there are numerous players taking up space that don't even play any more.

blacklist isn't an option when it's already full and WG gives you no real way to remove dead players from the list

And there is no legitimate way to actually accomplish this, because the geniuses at WG don't actually provide that information.  The only way to tell if a player hasn't played is to click their name to check their personal record.  At which point, you then have to open the list again and start from the beginning.

Found a good mod for this that I have been using the past few days with much improved sanity.

It's called Elkano's map ping spam blocker. Either google it or check with your mod pack to see if it's in there.

Doesn't completely block map pings but reduces them to the point where you only see a max of like 3 per 10 seconds or something.

Thanks. I was going crazy. For those of you who think right clicking/blocking is an option, try doing it to several players while fighting.
