So I currently run the basic bare-bones XVM from modxvm.com and I was wondering about something. I wanted to test the water are more expansive XVM mods but the last time I installed Aslains it forced me to reinstall the entire game and even then the mod was out-of-date and didn't function properly.

Is there an XVM mod out there that comes with its own installed and doesn't require me to fully reinstall world of tanks? I would like to do a few specific things: have XVM, change my garage theme, and change what my commands say in battle chat; i.g. "Defend the base, we're over run!"

Ask on XVM related forums, not here. People tend to get triggered also, because "staph stat sniping noob."

just use mods that do what you want, search them up.

XVM doesn't make you reinstall.

As long as you don't screw the up the installation of the mod you won't have to reinstall the game.

For that reason, Aslain's is your best option.

Also if you want to uninstall mods that don't work, just delete everything within the "World_of_Tanks/mods/0.9.20.1.2", and "World_of_Tanks/res_mods/0.9.20.1.2" folders if you'd like to uninstall all your mods. You won't have to reinstall the entire game if you can follow those steps.

I'd also start from the ground up when first trying mods. Only install mods you think you absolutely want through the installer on your first time around. The mods you consider, "extra" should be added on later just so you know if your core mods work, as sometimes some mods are not actually updated or cause issues with other mods.

1. No mods will require you to reinstall the game.

2. Garage themes are not part of XVM. They are a different class of mods altogether.

3. Similarly, changing voice commands in battle is not a function of XVM.

4. Therefore what you're looking for is a modpack, and not just XVM.

If they choose to be triggered then that is there personal problem. You only get triggered if you allow it to bother you.

I am asking here in the Modded Community section of the forums. I have had a hard time finding simple mods for this game. It's not as easy as Minecraft for example, where the keywords are easy to search for.

he obviously worded it wrong when he says he wants an XVM mod to include XVM.

No actually he is accurate there. I meant to say I wanted some extra stuff for cosmetics, liek a modpack.

you wouldn't call it a xvm mod then. XVM is purely statistics with a few things that help with that.

XVM is cancer. The good features it had have all been added to the game (Last seen location, view/render range circles, damage counter, incoming damage number, what the enemy is shooting at you, etc.)

If you don't think stat focus is a thing, then obviously you've never been the best (or one of the best) players on your team.

I'm green right now (soon to be blue) and even I've experienced a lot of XVM focus (usually at mid-low tiers since that's where i'm best).

I would like that easy crew switcharoo added though.

well that's true.

I mean the one button press isn't that hard right now (which is currently in the vanilla client), but I guess the automatic crew return is helpful.

I don't care about garage-mods. Like skins and stuff like that, but being able to see people's statistics just worsens gameplay and promotes toxicity. just my opinion tho.

If I were to use XVM it would purely be for the garage crew switching because it makes my life easier..

I don't care about who's purple, blue, green, orange, yellow or red..

Personally. I liked the OMC modpac but I stopped running mods about 6 months ago (maybe longer). I haven't regretted it at all. Mod pacs would break every patch and it felt like I was constantly having to reinstall them. Now I have to auto-updater for WOT running and I just play :)

The EU forums are quite a good source for mods: http://forum.worldof...orum/2686-mods/

Here's a thread for a garage theme switcher (not sure how updated it is): http://forum.worldof...angman/#topmost

As for sound mods, I have no experience with them. For a period of time, they were almost always broken and crashing the game, so I never bothered to explore.

I personally prefer to know exactly the mod I want to use, and then follow the relevant forum thread for updates, etc. This makes it faster to get my mods updated whenever there's a patch, and I also know exactly which mod is breaking the game if that ever becomes an issue.

Using a mod pack means you have to wait for the mod pack maker to update his pack, thus introducing additional delay. Nonetheless, mod packs are useful for "shopping" for what mods are out there.

Who is the muffin here?  You are the one crying about mod addons.  This guy wants help not whiney responses.  Boo Hoo I don't like mods so I will just troll the mod section of the forums cause I support "scream at the sky on election day" crowd.  There are several good modpacks out there you just need to experiment until you find what your looking for.  I do recommend you delet the old mod folder before changing to the next as was stated above.  Good luck M.D.S. and happy tanking.

Usually all the cosmetic mods are out there as standalone mods too , so just look for whatever you want and install them one by one. Not that many cosmetic mods that conflicts with XVM.
