WoT veterans say gold rounds.

New guys say premium rounds.

Don't make friends with us we know you won't last long (like the new guy in the squad in Combat or Star Trek)

What if Im also a full time college student?

I was a full time college student at one point too. I maintained a 4.0 and still had plenty of time for a couple hours a day of video games (well, except for the semester I pulled 20credits and worked 30+ hours a week, but that semester was insane).

In any case, it is up to you to prioritize what you want. WG provides multiple routes to acquire adequate credits to occasionally fire premium rounds. Only one of those routes require money.

Because those of us who've been around forever and remember back when they used to only be purchasable WITH gold got the name from that.

so yer pulling the old " I been around for along time trick "....remember that classic ?? walletwarrior.....or sealclubbing ?? gotta love it.....that said....why did WAR GAMING  take the kill stats out of the game ?? how do I know when I get to 60 000 kills which is my target number for retirement from the game ?? last time I saw I had 54 900 + and then ....totals gone....not cool......so my prem acct expires in about 20 days and that's it ....I am done with this outfit

Consider the following. 100 ppl buy 1000 gold for gold rounds, That is 100,000 gold for $493.30.

Why would you ever use gold to purchase premium ammunition? Ever?

Some people way back did, but not enough so WG altered the game to silver in order to get more income from players.

You do realize this account was made in 2011, and that i've been playing since 2011. And if you look at my most played tanks, none of them would be your classic definition of "Seal clubber" tanks. Wallet warrior? Perhaps. I like my premium tanks, which is what they've always been called. And, yes, I HAVE been around a long time, most of the people on these forums have been around since before 2013.

It don't matter if it was changed after the fact, people know the gold ammo as gold ammo because thats just how it was. It wasn't until around 2013-2014 when it was removed, and the name stuck.

Do you know anyone who has actually used gold to purchase premium rounds since they were made available with credits?

Why I remember way back when, we tied an onion to our belts as was the style of the times......................

Everyone who gets caught with the default gold option to purchase ammo. So really an argument can be made that they're still gold rounds.

Never heard of the onion thing - you must be ancient...

Old as dirt, yet I have never been 'caught' with gold selected rather than credits.

Onion text taken from Granpa Simpson. Enjoy.

I've had multiple clan members and friends make the mistake since WoT likes to auto default to gold, and if you use gold and have auto resupply on before checking it, welp, rip.

I'm not going to worry about the semantics, I call it 'code 22' at any rate. But just to throw it out there, I do think there could be a win-win situation if code 22 was reworked to cost whatever the standard shell's credit price is multiplied by 1.5x and its damage reduced by 25%. If that were the case, code 22 could have ridiculous penetration and still be highly situational if only because of the alpha nerf.

Suppose you get into a bottom-tier match and the ultra fatties are in front of you. Previously, if you spammed code 22 at them, someone inevitably gets cancer. If code 22 works, then all of that enemy armor is rendered pointless. If code 22 doesn't work, then odds are your very existence is pointless. But in the new scheme, the lower price and lower damage values make the experience less painful for both parties.

Funny. Learning to be resilient would benefit all people instead of crying all the time.

It's not funny to make light of child molestation.
