Win 10 will NEVER leave beta, it is now a "Service" with content and features updates. So, it will NEVER be polished and stable.

I don't think you quite understood what I wrote.

It's better than it was 2 years ago.  It will be better than it is now in 2 more years.

Borderless Windowed.

Makes going to the second monitor easier and no alt tabbing.

Agreed.

UPDATE 2:

Microcrap has fixed the issue in 1709 that caused fullscreen game problems with kb4048955.

  • Addressed issue that causes a black screen to appear when you switch between windowed and full-screen modes when playing some Microsoft DirectX games.

BUT, in typical Microcrap fashion, they broke something else:

Win32 based app installers may not function correctly..  I.E. Installer dialog box missing text and/or checkboxes.

So, good luck installing any programs until the next hotfix

They didn't fix crap.  I've been delaying this update for weeks and last night I forgot to snooze it again.  Computer reset and now I can't load WoT.  Since I have fullscreen chosen in game and don't know how to pick windowed mode from the launcher.

Same exact thing happened to me. I submitted a ticket to WG, and their response was basically to disable game mode. Problem is, I can't get the game started so I never get into game mode! You can get back to working by reverting to your previous version of Windows, but you'll soon be nagged to install the update again.

Update: I found this with some more digging. If you're using an Nvidia graphics card it's worth a look:

Win10 updates are the main reason I don't want to switch over from Win7 to Win10.

Most annoying thing is how it gives zero ████s about whether or not you're playing a game it will close your crap out and start updating.

The only way I fixed my issues with the new update was to revert back to the last one.  Now, everyday, while I'm gaming I just have brace myself for getting interrupted by Windows malwa----er update reminder bugging me to update it and only giving me the option to turn the reminder off until tomorrow.

Such a pain.

You can specify how it handles updates.  Automatic, scheduled or manual are all options.

I don't see those listed anywhere in Windows Update Settings.
