Re-installed wot on a pc this weekend after not playing for 3 years. (Switched to console as my old pc wouldnt run it) got good at console. Come back here for a weekend, and well.... it didnt go well. My stats for my pc account r trash, but ill dig em out slowly (thats the plan anyway lol) i have a much better understanding of game mechanics now compared to when i used to play on pc so hopedully i get the feel for the keyboard again. One of the hardest things for me to get used to is the different playstyle, its more snipey because aiming with a mouse is easier and faster than a controller. Also any tips for consumables bindings? Found repairing tracks and stuff was taking me waaaay longer than it shoulda. Thanks. See you all around.

I have my first aid kit on 4, since the most commonly killed crew member is the driver and he's number 4, so just double tap to heal.

I have my repair kit on 5, since the most commonly destroyed module is the track and it's number 5, so...

If you set the repair kit to the 5 key, you can just double tap 5 to repair tracks quickly. That's what I do.

I mapped all of my consumables to my numeric keypad. That way I can keep my left hand on the wasd keys for driving while I use my right hand to heal my driver or repair my tracks quickly. Just make sure to put the first aid kit on key 4 and the repair kit on key 5. I use auto fire ext on most of my tanks but key 6 would be for the other consumable if I used one. Keys 1,2,3 are for ammo selection.

The double-tap on small repair kits for the most common/most important for moving is definitely the best way to go.  Either that, or go for the large kits, but they're pricey.
