While in the game, the left audio channel drops until a battle is complete. As soon as a battle starts, the left channel drops again. This has been consistent this evening. I do not see anything in Settings that would have this effect.

This only happens with World of Tanks. No other program that I am of which I am aware.

Any thoughts?

<I see others are reporting this issue with the latest update. It is not just me. Searched 'audio channel'.>

I had the same problem today, it was like someone turned the volume way down on desktop speakers. The first time it happened I thought my headset had gone haywire or sound card was going bad.

Additional information. The channel drop affects both the speakers and USB headset. Also, when the volume on the single working speaker is increased from within Windows, the chime comes from both speakers, tho only the one speaker operates when the game is re-entered. Only when a game is completed do both channels operate normally again.

The channel drop effect was consistent last night. But both channels operated normally in the afternoon, just to confuse things.

Yeah, 2 days ago I almost threw away a perfectly good headset, but decided to test it first and it tested good. Then I noticed that it was working OK in the garage, but the left speaker was dead in battle.

Weird stuff.

Yesterday it worked fine all day.

I'm experiencing the same issue, it has been happening for about a week now, audio suddenly drops to 1 channel and extremely low volume, doesnt get fixed until game is restarted. Has been consistently happening a few times a day.

I also notice a cracking sound when I end up closing game, as if it's actually not disconnecting the process properly with sound card..

Sounds like the same thing I have experienced. Happens inconsistently. At the time, affects both the headphones and the speakers. I thought it might be my motherboard since the sound card is on the motherboard. I was actually happy to see that others are having the same exact problem. That absolves my motherboard. lol.

Good luck to all with this issue. I had no problems today.

Happens at least once every day for the 10 days or so.

It could be those hypnotizing waves, they are programing into the sound channel to make you keep playing through all those "Losing Streaks" ?  Very dangerous, subliminal messages could be coming out that make you open your wallets also, "Spend, spend, spend.. Wargaming need MO Money $"

Had it again yesterday, a quick game restart renewed normal sound operation.

Happened to me 3 minutes into battle with left speaker, client restart fixed it. Was talking to someone in TS and no audio drop from there.

Same hear(pun intended)- any system with the left speaker dies- only the right side works.

Definitely an issue on the game's side.

Though it could be an easy fix for most of us players, I must say that a bunch of players who don't know that this forum even exists, or just aren't good with computers would probably never figure out how and why their sound system is struggling. I'm sure that if WG fixes this fast enough, they'd save a bunch of players their keyboards(due to gamer rage).

This is a bug,  happens with or without mods. Please Fix Wargaming. It started with the Halloween event, btw I still have those 2 awful tanks in my garage.
