It wasn't for "Best Game"l They won an award for continuing to exist.

Think if it as a participation ribbon.

OTOH, considering how they continue to step on their own wiener at every turn this is a significant achievement.

Forum represents very little of the general player base. what you get out here are usually meaning less perception of how people really think. Game is not really as bad as you think.

it's actually worse.....and sorry, from the battles I've been in, most players think this way. You'll get someone saying "gl hf" and many voice "not fun at all" etc......

I have no idea what some of you are talking about. I think the game is great. I'm not a military buff, and I don't play any other computer games except World of Warships, but I play this game almost every day. I think it is well designed and has a very long learning curve because of its complexity and dimension. I have played over 20,000 battles and I am still learning and having new experiences. I don't understand all the whining and complaints I read here on the forum. Sure, it isn't perfect, and it's sometimes constructive to let WG know when things can be improved, but the only thing that I think is seriously wrong is the inclusion of SPGs. Other than that, it is a very enjoyable pastime.

If you played once in a while, you'd know.

Those awards mean nothing, it's voted on by critics, not the players

You don't have one ( any award )  .  So you absolutely must bring down anyone else that has one.  Dirt simple , but I did not expect you to understand.  Go back to eating crayons.

"How did Wargaming get the Golden Joystick award?"

Because games like Star Wars Battlefront II or Call of Duty WW2 were also competing and, compared to those games and the horrible decisions for gameplay and PR that those companies have made, Wargaming looks pretty good.

Just sayin'...
