Neither of them are all that strong unless hull down against a bunch of tomatoes and oranges who are too dumb to aim, performance wise it is very dated which why they gave it away.

No!  It's a very highly situational tank.  In a hull-down position against tanks of its own tier or even tier 9s, it can be *highly* effective, bouncing shells and dealing a lot of damage.

Sadly, when you're not hull down, it has abysmal DPM and sluggish turret performance, coupled with terrible gun handling.  But in that right situation, when you can play a ridge and have team-mates keeping them from flanking you, it is quite a solid, hard-hitting tank!

I love my T34B that I got from the marathon. Its a very relaxed play-style. As a person who has played the T29 and T30, it feels right at home. Its especially awesome that it doesnt require a large amount of premium ammunition due to its great penetration. Im satisfied with it.

Its a t29 a tier higher with a tier 10 gun but saddled with crappy gun handling and poor dpm. The t29 thrives because it faces a maximum of three tier 9 and usually gets to beat up on tier 6 most of the day where the hull armour actually has a chance to be effective. At tier 8 however the mm balance changes will have the t34 facing mostly tier 9 and 10 tanks where only the turret in a good hull down position away from arty will allow you to excel. Its great when you get that match but mostly you don't.

It would be fine if they adjusted the reload time a bit. Keep hull down and don't get rushed/flanked, because the rate of fire isnt good.

It’s not just “poor gun handling,” it’s just flat inaccurate. Just simply cannot aim in no matter how long you sit there. Fortunately, you only have to hit 3 times to do your hp in damage.

It's literally a slower T30 with the 120. Don't play it like a traditional heavy. It's a support heavy.

I haven't had much chance to play it yet, as I've been travelling for work, but I did enjoy the games I've played so far.

It is MUCH better than the T32 thanks to the greatly increased pen, and it prints credits, so I'm happy overall. It's not a great Tier 8 by any means, as it's very slow and the gun handling is meh, but if I can get hull down the tough turret mantlet lets me take the time on my shots to easily pen Tier 8 and 9 tanks, and I've had good luck punching through some Tier X heavies as well.

Overall, pretty happy with the tank.

It's garbage to play, but a 1/2 decent credit maker and crew trainer.

It was free for a reason.....

I’d rather be in an IS-2 in nearly every situation I find my T34 in.

I've only played about 8-9 games in it but I am really enjoying it so far. It has an accurate gun that does a boatload of damage without using gold ammo. It makes lots of credits, win or lose. And it plays quite like my T29, my favourite tank. I'm not afraid to venture into Tier VIII battles because I know I can contribute a little. I also won the IS6B last weekend, but I've been hesitant to try it out because its stats pale in comparison to the T34 B.

Definitely not a tin can. It gets a surprising number of bounces frontally, gun is workable. It's the slow speed that makes it really situational. I personally hate mine, in fluid battles when it's fast moving it really sucks trying to keep up.

Only thing even vaguely workable on it is the mantlet but even then, you can easily overmatch the roof or hit the commanders hatch.

Gun has awful stats and it's not russian, so the awful gun stats actually mean you will miss a ton of shots.

I almost bought tokens because i thought it would be one of the more fun american heavies to play but realized after doing missions most of my american heavies and others are kinda dull to play after getting a couple german heavies.

Then yesterday i rip one to shreds in my t26e5 having a 3.5k dmg game, FeelsGood

Today i see the Lowe is 30% off and id been saving up but only had 9k. FeelsBetter :B

Lowe is just *better*, it's an awesome tank, I really like mine. But I don't mind the T34 either. Like I said, it's really situational, and the gun doesn't feel enough for the wait to load and aim, really. But it's not a bad tank at all, and it makes loads of credits.
