Now that December is almost here, the holiday season is about to kick into high gear. And few traditions are as effective at getting tankers in a festive mood as the Advent Calendar! To jumpstart your holiday cheer, we're unleashing our jolly collection of specials a bit earlier this year.

This time, the Advent Calendar festivities begin on Dec. 1 and last until Jan. 2, treating you to three weeks of 24-hour-only Premium Shop offers, and a final deal, valid Dec. 24 through Jan. 2. If that's not enough to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, we'll be spicing up your December with special New Year Fuss battle missions. As always, the calendar will be updated daily, offering a new challenge and a new deal. Don't miss them!

You can always check the Advent Calendar in the game client. It will open automatically when you launch the client Dec. 1–15. You may also open it via the in-game browser by clicking the banner in the Specials tab. From Dec. 15 to Jan. 2, you can hover over the calendar in the Garage to view the daily offers. You can also check the website here!

"festivities begin on Dec. 1"

You guys know that Advent Calendars are supposed to start on December 1st, right?

Yeah, they know.

They're doing it earlier than they did last year.

Hence, letting us know.

At least for some it's actually the 4th Sunday prior, so technically they are early since it would be the third.  At least for those following this timeline.   But some faiths may celebrate it differently and many calendars use December 1st for convenience as it's easier to remember and it's easier, for lack of a better term, re: calendars.

2018 ?

2018 is correct.  It's an "Advent Calendar" which is a different timeline and based on the Christian Year or Liturgical Year.

EDIT:  Following poster is right.  After this Advent, which is 2017 not 2018, the 2018 Christian Calendar begins.  But this years Advent is 2017.

The advent is a Christian holiday related to Christmas.
The beginning several according to the year and corresponds to the fourth Sunday before Christmas, but always ends on December 24.

This is the advent of 2017 and in religious terms it begins on Sunday, December 3 and ends on December 24.

My bad, I stand corrected.  Correct this is the Advent of 2017.  But at the end of it Advent 2018 begins.  Next year's Advent would be 2018.

Poor wording and comprehension on my part. :P
