So to try and predict how many bonds I would earn in OG (Operation Gambit), I need to figure out what % of players get what. The same rule applies to clans.

TOP PERCENTAGE OF ALL PARTICIPATING PLAYERS
---BONDS---
<=1% -1,000
1–2%- 950
2–3% -900
3–5%- 850
5–10% -800
10–15%- 750
15–20% -700
20–25%- 600
25–50%- 500
50–75%- 250

TOP PERCENTAGE OF ALL PARTICIPATING CLANS
 ---CLAN MULTIPLIER---
<=1% 7
1–2% 6.5
2–3% 6
3–5% 5.5
5–10% 5
10–15% 4
15–20% 3
20–25% 2.5
25–50% 2
>=50% and players who do not belong to any clan at the moment the event ends.

Ok now that we have this chart ^^^, we know who gets what prize and the bonus applied to them, BUT we don't know who will end where.
So what I did was take my stats from "Hall Of Fame". I ended up scoring higher than 82% of players, which puts me at top 12% (recent stats mind you). My clan (Wanko) places at #67, so out of 1000 clans,
that means we are in the top 6.7% of clans.

so I place at top 12% of players, and top 6.7% clan-wise. so if things go normal ill get 750 bonds, multiply that with my clan bonus and I get '750 x 5 = 3750'
*EDIT*  as some1 below mentioned, only the top 3k players in this event will be eligible to buy any of those tanks with bonds.
so with my current 1k bonds added to what I may receive from OG, I should get a CW tank)  Hope This Helps Some1 ;)

P.S. Grammarly helps me stay away from those mean, toxic Grammar Nazis :P

P.S.S I know that 1k clans won't do Operation Gambit, just trying to give a little food for thought here.

This is exactly why I opted out of this Campaign, as the rewards have become so skimpy they're not even worth the effort any more.

I made more Bonds only playing artillery in Ranked Battles, each "season"!

WarGaming has completely lost it in regards to rewarding players for even participating!

watch wg throw up a ranked battle season as soon as the campaign ends.  There is almost a month window to buy a "reward" tank after the end of the campaign.

Since my "calculations"  are what they are, I'm guessing that WG expects the top 1%-5% to get anything good, while every1 else is only dependent on the number of bonds that individual had before operation gambit starts.

People liked the old top X clans get a tank for anyone with enough battles (15 I think?) and the rest of the tanks go out via personal fame.

So of course they change the rewards to only personal fame based and you only earn the chance to buy the tank in the end.

Tanks cost 4k.

Anyone who is able to buy one will get enough from the event.

What you're forgetting is that only the top 3000 players will be allowed to purchase tanks, if I read the rules correctly. So the days when top clans could field two teams, and have all the rest of their members log minimum required battles are over. This will be much more competitive methinks.

1. That's not the point. This is like the IS-5 all over again. Why should you have to buy the tank you worked your butt off for?

2. I'm not sure that's true. I haven't seen a number for how many tanks they're giving out, but in the past it has been 3k on NA so I'll work with that. Being in the top 10% of players by fame whole being in a top 10% clan will earn you 4k bonds. Will 30k people participate in the campaign? Maybe, I don't have past campaign stats handy. Even then, it removes the chance for lower skill clans to work really hard and get a couple of their people tanks, as they won't be top 10% as a clan.

Not forgetting that at all. The top clans will still run train, it's not like MAHOU is going to suddenly have a problem because they need to field 4 teams instead of 2. All this will do is  cause friction inside clans as people get salty about not getting picked for battles. That already happened under the old system and this will be even worse.

So I assume what your saying is that any1 who places at the top 3k will earn enough bonds from event to buy something??

Yes.  If you are eligible to buy the tank you'll be awarded enough bonds to do so.  Maybe more than that, but not less.

If you don't want a tank you'll have bonds for improved equipment.

I was way off, and they aren't giving out enough bonds.

ALex f wanko your calcs are way off.  Right now your clan is x2 multiplier.  And you,as a player, have 250 bonds.  If the campaign were to end today you would end up w 500 bonds.  3500 short of getting the tank, even if you did get the slip.

No one is getting the tank unless you get the bonds to purchase it.  You need to have 4k after the event.

Truth be told, wg probably doesn't even know 100% how this will end :P

we are all just going to have to wait and see, I'm sure it will become clear the further along we get. Also I don't see them making it so you would have to have existing bonds your account to be able to purchase the tank. But you never know!
