It doesn't happen a lot, but sometimes you hit the Windows key by mistake when you're really trying to hit the "Alt" key to find out what tank is just around the corner... and suddenly get booted to your desktop for a few critical seconds.
Yeah, I did just that on el Halluf, and I finally got tired of it. So I did a five second search and found the simple fix, right in Microsoft's knowledgebase:

One of the features i love about my G15 Keyboard is it has a switch which disables the windows key so you don't hit it in game

Thanks, I needed that. Now I just have to figure out how to shut off the dum lil laptop top slidey mouse thing. Not usually a prob for me but when my buddy plays on it (using his account of course) he's forever poppin off random shots, and cussing. lol.

If you use an external mouse; control panel, mouse, disable touchpad when external mouse is in use. Done! If not, hmmm...

Or be like me and buy a Logitech G-15 (witch has a switch to disable tje Windows key)or use I hate this key without destroying your keyboard.

I actually super glued the button
Plus I always use the right Windows Key anyways I cant remember a time I ever pressed the left one
