Hey Tankers,

We know many of you out there build models for historical or gaming reasons - show us what you have done or what you are working on and let us know how its going!  We'll share some pics of our own work and some pieces we keep around the office to kick things off.

First up we have a small Super Pershing Diorama that sits in our primary meeting room:

(Apologies for the poor photography, we have a lightbox coming in soon!)

Show us what you got!

This is a 1/48 paper model of a SOMUA S35 French medium tank that I picked up when I was at the Musee des Blindes in France this September. It was an awesome visit!

Nice!  That's some impressive detail for paper

Beautiful model mate! I've been considering this for a while, and haven't quite found the chance to ask a mod a question like this, but do you have any recommendation for a specific brand I should purchase from? I've wanted to model, but I haven't started because I wasn't sure what to get. Thank you in advance CabbageMechanic! :)

My E 100 And my Jagdpanzer E 100. The Metal pendant in the middle is my grandfathers ashes. So I imagine it as the two tank's beside it protecting him.

(Sorry for mediocre photo quality.

I built this several years before WoT was a thing, have a couple more to build soon.

cant figure out how to imbed images :(

- Right click your Imgur pics and hit "Copy Image Address", then hit the "Image" button on your in progress forum post (the one just to the left of the little youtube button) and paste the image address URL there.  Then click the green OK button at the bottom and Bob's your Uncle!  I fixed up this one for you, great model! - CM

If you want to build tanks, Tamiya at 1/35 is a really good starting point.  They are easy to build and require very little clean up (no flash and hardly any seam lines)

Or even Tamiya at 1/48 which are cheaper - except as it turns out the actual model may be the least of your costs!  But Tamiya kits are definitely very well put together.

I haven't made many models but this is my Crusader Mk III in desert pink and brown:

Nice!  I am still working on a diorama featuring Tigers I-II, Hetzer, and Panzer 4 ausf H, maybe someday I'll post some finished pics;)

Say, how was the Panzer III?  Did it have good detail?  I know it is a slightly older kit, but I have heard good things about it.  Nice upgrades to the Panzer II btw.

Thank you my PZII's have been my build/painting test beds.

My Panzer II platoon.

Spoiler

The Tamiya PZIII/L is still a nice exterior kit, it goes together really nice.

But, no photo-etch and It has minimal interior details though, it's really just the gun.

If you're in the market for a PZIII, eBay will normally turn up a few really good deals.

The Dragon 1/35 Ausf.M/N is a really nice one, enough extra parts that you could build it anyway you felt like.

Wow the color on those is amazing, especially the darker areas on the lines of the tanks - so natural looking.  I love the Camo netting on the Panther as well.

Here are a few that I built recently. My photography skills are pretty bad, so I hope these pics are somewhat viewable!
