I'm just curious as to what other people think, but IMO I feel like the T34 is just...obsolete these days.

Compared to all the other tanks that have been released that do not have pref MM, the T34 has nothing special to it. The T34 isn't the only one tho sadly. There are several tanks that have just been left behind.

You rarely ever see a CDC, FCM, T34, and some i'm probably forgetting like you use to.

I run cola on my to increase it's performance and I still feel like I do less dmg then any of my other T8 prems, It has poor mobility, i feel like the turret armor is meh anymore, poor reload, meh accuracy, the aim time is terrible...I mean what does the tank have going for it other then pen that feels like that's not even special anymore.

I feel like i'm lucky if i can get a 100k credit game in it when i can go play my skorp, lorraine, fv4202, M41 90MM, wz-120 and make 100k credit games nearly every time.

I use to hate the lowe and now i prefer the lowe way more than the T34. The lowe has received needed buffs, but the T34 hasn't?

It's due for a overhaul like how they did with the Lowe.

It's pen isn't that special anymore. STRV, Skorp both have excellent pen. The FV4202, lorraine, defender. They all have good/decent penetration as well.

As for the turret armor, my T34 has a armor efficiency of 0.47.. that's not bad...But my tiger 2 has 0.58 and we all know it isn't known for armor. Lowe has 0.49, FV4202 is at 0.72, T-34-3 is paper in most situations...0.44

I feel like hull down i get ripped more than i should.

Overdue for help, but people keep buying them so there's no urgency.

It's so bad that they could bump it down to tier 7, reduce the alpha a bit, but still very high for tier 7, and bam... It's suddenly not garbage...

Not good, not garbage, possibly decent...

I still use mine as a crew trainer.

All my US heavies have Majors as commanders due to my T34 and M6A2E1 trainers. That is a lot of Majors.

It is totally obsolete. I only run it occasionally to support my tier 10 arty habit.

It's been power creeped but it's also the only American heavy tank trainer that can train your T29/T32/T30 crews simultaneously.

I have 1,715 average damage in my Lowe with an armor use efficiency of 0.82 despite having played it 293 battles over a course of time wherein my personal skill level has changed throughout (from 1400 recents to what it is now).

I have 1,693 average in my T34B with an armor use efficiency of 0.59 despite having played 39 battles, all recently in a period wherein my recent wn8 has been steadily at or above 2300. Honestly, when considering just how weak the turret armor actually is, I'm somewhat surprised the efficiency is that high.

So yes, I would agree that the T34 is obsolete, and that's coming from me, a guy who is loving the IS-6B

For me, T34 has been a primary crew trainer and credit earner. I don't see how that is obsolete.

I could use shorter reload and aim time

I got mine fairly recently (during the last 30% off cheapness, I think); I've not played it much yet, but it's not nearly as bad as I was expecting (so far) - it's feels less horrible than the T32 (in my opinion).

Certainly, it isn't a Lowe or 252U, but rather it feels like a less good T29 (tier for tier); it could be a lot worse.

You just need to know about hiding basically anything that isn't the front of the turret...

What kills the T34 is having the characteristics of the T30 TD rather than the rest of the heavy line.

Simple fix then. Turn the t34 into a premium td!  :P But an even simpler fix would be the buff the gun handling a fair bit and increase the roof armour so it's not overmatched so easily. I'd even suggest upping the dpm a bit but you can only ask for so much..

It certainly feels obsolete, it could use a slight mobility/ground resistance buff and perhaps a reload buff. I got the T34b when it was first released because I wanted a T34 and the black version just looks better than the standard.  In general I really like playing the T34, it hits satisfyingly hard, but its poor mobility lets it down.

It probably needs T29 levels of mobility and maybe 1 or 2 seconds shaved off its reload.  The recent buff to aim time and dispersion helped it GREATLY, but it does need a touch more love.

I also find it odd that a 120 mm TD gun does 400 alpha whereas a 122mm gun does 490 alpha *cough obj 252u*.  That extra 2mm of caliber really makes all that difference??

For an he shell sure as the extra 2mm can add up to a fairly large increase in internal volume. For ap and apcr? I suppose the extra mass might give a slight increase and as the defenders alpha is actually 440 then it seems reasonable.

T34s = big exp pinatas. Love seeing them on the enemy team when I grind tier 6s and 7s.
